Muffin is a rather...peculiar...dragon, as he got into Whimsical's lab as a hatchling when she left it to search for reagents. Though it's been stated that the changes cannot be passed on genetically and aren't contagious, most dragons are still reluctant to consider him a breeding partner. Whimsical has since offered to try to reverse the changes, but he politely declined, finding them a unique quality that only improve his hunting. nonetheless, there are still whispered discussions as to whether he should truly be considered a dragon when he's been spliced with beastly genes.

Despite his unfortunate history - or perhaps because of it - he's taken up his own private research on alchemical alterations, much to Whimsical's chagrin. Unlike her more ambitious attempts, however, he mostly uses his studies to assist the clan in dying their fur.

The snake that forms his tail has no separate will or consciousness to it; he uses it much like a scorpion's sting or as an extra grapple when hunting.

June 2017 - Thinking he had isolated a genetic factor related to scale shedding, he subjected himself to further self-experimentation, only to find himself transmogrified yet again, fur dropping off in concerningly large clumps and the snake-head of his tail withering and ultimately falling off like a dead leaf.
