Hematite
Hematite is a creature from another world known as a 'Gem.' she has the power to attract and repel certain metals. She likes to snack on metals, and apparently likes to eat treasure as well.. which is a problem for the rest of the clan. Hematite was actually artificially created in a place she not so affectionately calls 'kindergarten.' She once generated her appearance as a Tundra from a single, whole chunk of the precious metal. However, she was thrust into a war as a child and her gem was shattered, also shattering her appearance. Her gem remained shattered for centuries, and she was lost in a void of shadows. However, her gem was eventually pieced together. Normally something like reforming when you are a shattered gem is impossible, but the latent magnetic abilities of her gem had made it possible for Hematite.

She reformed, but her gem was not the same, it split into the pieces it had been before as she regenerated and scattered across her body. And her re-generation wasn't completely what she had planned. Instead of her coming back as a tundra, she returned as a Pearlcatcher. Her gem made it difficult to focus and she accidentally grew herself some extra arms, hands, and fingers. She now exists as a glitched version of what she once was.
