Biography
Anpiel
Clan founder and official protector of birds
Clan founder and official protector of birds
Backstory
Lost her mate in a clash between fighting dragons in the abiding boneyard. Her closest, living family member is her youngest offspring; Tendanor.
She's not too happy about moving into Hewn City, as its reputation is rather hostile. The place is however far from deserted, and dragons are crawling from high pillars into smaller caves. She rooted the clan near the edge, as she prefers to see light hit the ocean. They've made their nests in the ruins of what might look like an old religious temple, and most sleep in between fallen pillars or in bigger caves. The air is damp and soft, however dark and uninviting it may seem. Her daughter takes well to the environment, and Lucius lifts the mood by organizing hide-and-seek games in the dark. Skepticism aside- they're settling down.
Before she decided to settle and make a colony, she lived as an outcast in the forest of the Shrieking Wilds. Only after returning to the Sunbeam Ruins did she settle down again. Her life in the forest consisted of fending off predators who tried to attack birds and other smaller woodland creatures. Her stand on the fight between Beastclans and dragons is therefore tense, and she does no longer partake in the war, even though members of her clan does.
There are many hidden aspects to her past, and rumors circulate, wondering why she left the sunbeam ruins in the first place. Anpiel might have been abandoned as an egg, and found life easier to live in solitude. Her long gone mate was the first to ponder upon the idea of a bigger family, and thus they created Luciftian Olpirt. She does not know that members of her clan are planning to claim the leadership, with Tendanor as the upcoming leader. Anpiel's time is closing to an end, luckily she still has the support of the majority of the clan members.
She's been withdrawn and out of it, and is clearly ill. Her colorful wilderness tokens have been taken off, and she has started to wear duller colors, as a sign of her fatigue. In a hunting pack of Mirrors, it would mean significant things, her sign as submission for one. Yet no one has claimed the throne, and it is unknown whether anyone will. Ezikiel is one of the only dragon that speak to her, and its clear that his book contains what others can simply speculate about. She was not a very "out and about" leader in the first place, but her change is obvious, and many fear for her health and well being.

Post- leadership
Her clan was officially ranked big enough to move to the Beacon of the Radiant Eye. She could no longer hide away in the isolation of Hewn City, and was confronted at the gates of the Ancient Lair. She endured a lot of questions, and had to answer several tedious inquires of her work and the clan's origin. The council finally caught hold of her, and claimed her unfit for ruler-ship. She was resigned shortly thereafter.
Her daughter took her place as leader, Anpiel too tired to care whether that would be good for the clan or not.
Tendanor's regime starting, the sun might go down.
The name changed from Luciftian Olpirt, to Solis Occasus.
The clan haven't seen her much since the leadership change, but she did visit Ezikiel once; as she felt she owed it to him.
Ezikiel couldn't help but notice how bone-dead tired she seemed. The angry words stuck in his throat. "I want to tell you what a grave mistake you're making, abandoning your family like this," she flinched at that. "But I can see there's little you can do."
She's hiding her smaller pair of eyes under the sage's cover.
"I can't, Ezikiel. There's too much. It hurts. The heavy-sorrow is making my head feel like rock on my shoulders, and what leader am I to carry responsibility, when I can hardly carry my own head."
Ezikiel nodded dejectedly.
She didn't say much after that, and left again shortly after. Anpiel, the protector of birds, is again simply the protector of birds.
What became of her forest wanderings is for her to know. However she did start to wonder how long she'd been isolated when her brain started hearing the far away voice of her dead mate.
Following the voice couldn't be helped, however, neither could her absolute confusion and hope when seeing the trembling, injured fae. Explanations can come later, whether he's back naturally or not, she's glad to see him.

Her life in the forest of Light brings back memories.
Fliver's arrival and their new children make the consequences of her decisions seem harsher, more painful, and she's wrecked with guilt.
Whenever she sends her oldest daughter, Ayiar, out hunting, she's afraid she'll grow angry and hostile. It's weighing her down, and she sometimes flinches from haunting images of her other daughter.
Anpiel has raised these new ones differently. Her draconian is all but gone, and she's too tired to learn the complicated syllables anew. Despite her shame and off-putting croaks, Fliver treats her like he always has. He chatters away and she understands, and sometimes he copies her affectionate croaks with small sounds of his own. He'll sit down with her in the evening, and whisper, as if it's a great secret he's baring. "You don't have to worry about me, I know the look and sounds of your mood, and I love you just as much as I always have." He'll have to excuse her for holding on to him a little tighter after that.
She's seen by the birds and strange dragons as a mere forest sage. Her clothing is bright, brighter than she allows her children to be.
Her reasons are just.
Whether someone from Solis Occasus finds her, it doesn't matter. They won't do her any harm when she has no chance coming back either way. Her children however, have the same claim of the clan as Tendanor does. Who knows what would happen if they were to recognize her colors and genes in them. Better cover them up for safety, to keep them away from all the bad the family turned out to be.
