she does not like to mention her family. master is not one to hide where she comes from but her relationship with her immediate family is apparently so estranged and dysfunctional she was forced to cut ties for her own health and safety. master greatly supports the idea that family is not the dragons tied to one by blood or element but made up of individuals who are drawn together and form a tight-knit community. the fact pendulum is greatly composed of such individuals fits master's ideal clan; she plans to reside in pendulum for many years if not permanently.

while master has shadow heritage she doesn't actually display much of the element in her actions nor personality. she does not pull pranks or try to trick people for petty reasons and she has little use for fortune. while fame is an appealing idea master knows it is not something easily gained and the idea of throwing others under a bus to achieve status of a world-class chef is not appealing enough for her to pursue.

she instead opts to reflect qualities many dragons traditionally reserve for dragons of the element wind: master is flighty, she has trouble staying still for long periods of time, and her attitude is often a 'roll with the breeze' when it comes to problems. furthermore master often expresses herself through abrupt passionate means like sudden voiced monologues or complaints spoken without prior thought. this causes problems on occasion. master can easily become overwhelmed when lots of things go on at once and should this happen she often retreats to nap off the feelings; she will approach the matter again later when her brain is rested and her heart not beating so fast.

she does not like puns about her being a master chef.

while master has some good qualities in holding good intentions about making friends and wanting to fit in her execution in social situations often fails her. her heart is worn on her sleeve and while she may be a confident-if not slightly distracted-chef she is nowhere near the level of assurance when it comes to her personal life. she forms crushes and attachments easily and is constantly in states of heartbreak over recent rejection. she fancies many of her friends in pendulum but respects the fact they have turned her down--no matter how sad it makes her. she still tries to smile but her change in behavior is easily noted and master often requires naps to cope.

master's knowledge does not extend far past cooking and foraging. she does not know the tiny details of complicated situations and matters. politics go over her head. the actual science of cooking in of itself is often irrelevant given master relies on muscle memory and experience to measure things out oppose to going by step-by-step instructions or labeled measuring utensils. she does not particularly care for learning, either, and keeps her hobbies and passions relatively consistent.

she has several notable friendships within pendulum. these friendships are notably only for herself as they pose no bearing or influence on the clan. master's friendships mean to world to her as she otherwise is left alone and to fend for herself.

ampere: master developed a crush on ampere very early. she wound up running into the spiral for the purpose of borrowing space in his quarters to use as a kitchen. given pendulum is primarily free of electricity and only few caverns are wired master did not have a choice (though that fact is not one she finds bad). the two did not hit it off well but they get along enough to the point ampere lets master borrow space and machines to use in her cooking as long as she gives ampere scraps of food.

master's feelings for ampere have long-since skyrocketed. the spiral has never rejected her nor indicated such but at the same time master has never bothered to confess to him. they remain awkward acquaintances with one dragon wanting desperately to get to know the other and have the relationship develop into something more.

finnie: master detests the fae when they have cook-offs together given finnie almost always complains after he loses. that aside the two are decent buddies. master turned down finnie's advances once and that sort of led to the awkward events that spurred the two to friendship; finnie often confides in master and vice-versa. finnie has opened up after pieces of the past with master several times when master and finnie have been stuck waiting around an oven in ampere's quarters in hopes a batch of cookies will have finished baking already. master appreciates finnie's energy and the fact the two can nap together in order to get out of whatever job they have for the day.

valentine: master first saw valentine as a potential rival for ampere. this did not last long as master realized valentine could care less for the spiral; she only cares about sweets! master has since warmed up to the fae and the two are often found collaborating to create the most tasty of sugary goods. valentine is by far a better candy-maker but when it comes to cupcakes and pastries master has the smaller dragon beat by a landslide. master has yet to figure out the secret ingredient valentine uses in her candy-making.
