Biography
Okay, yeah. He’d certainly admit it.
Maybe talking to dead dragons and even suffering their pain was weird.
But at least Acai wasn’t rude, right?
The others thought he was weird and acted on this fact. No, not fact, more like speculation. Yeah, sometimes he did too. But it’s not like he wished for his power, or he wanted to feel that strange, ever-present burning sensation. No. He certainly did not want that at all.
But it was something Acai couldn’t fix, couldn’t control, for he had the ability to communicate with the dead. He was the Clan’s medic, too, and many dragons saw him as strange.
And yes, other dragons would most definitely consider him a “loner”, because ‘Oh, Acai? Yeah, he talks with dead dragons’ and ‘Oh, it’s Acai… Weirdo, can’t control his own mind’ and things like that. They were not always the kindest, but since he was their oh-so-faithful medic, he had to heal them, no matter what. It was his job and duty, after all.
But they didn’t understand his power. No, his ability. He hated the word ‘power’, since sometimes even the best of abilities could be awful... anyway! They were just making assumptions - incorrect ones, at that! - for he truly… well. He didn’t hate his abilities, but he had to deal with the overwhelming, ever-present guilt of never knowing what to do with the information that the dead dragons gave him.
He also, sometimes, had to watch.. Watch their deaths. It was very unpleasant, of course, and sometimes provided useful information for the lavender-colored male dragon. However, nobody really bothered to listen or care about his stories of those who had passed.
Really, he was quite cheery most of the time. He was friendly to those who tried or wanted to speak with him, most of the time to their surprise.
Acai could almost read their thoughts.
Wait, he’s actually friendly? What?!
Surely, this isn’t the dragon who speaks to dead dragons. No way.
How come he’s not all.. Y’know, weird and strange and ‘Ooooo I speak to dead dragons’? What’s going on?
Yeah, he got a lot of weird, upset, and confused glances, and yeah, not many dragons approached him. And.. yeah… maybe he was a little upset that he had to watch dragons suffer, each and every day, and he couldn’t help them, and he was forced to endure the scorching pain that they had to experience, and he was forced to watch them…
But overall, his life was pretty good.
And as the lavender wildclaw slipped into his cloak, fitted his headdress on, and called over the Nightsky Furian that was his best friend, he realized this fact, and gave a little smile.
