The Alleged Legend |
Boastful | Creative | Cowardly
The grandest hero in all of the known world... or so he would have you believe. Pale is known in Clan Stormreach for telling many tall tales of his incredible conquests and daring deeds of heroism, boasting of these numerous glorious achievements to anyone willing to listen. Many of these stories are extremely intricately detailed and completely false.
Despite being one of the clan's voluntary defenders, Pale always seems to come down with some inexplicable illness or turn up nursing a sudden debilitating injury that prevents him from having to actually fight. On rare occasions, he has miraculously recovered soon enough to put in a token effort at the end of a conflict and claim of valiant dashes through waves of unseen enemies to stand at the side of his allies.
Blatant falsehoods and obvious cowardice aside, this "champion of champions" isn't disliked. Spending a great deal of time helping take care of the clan's hatchlings, many dragons were raised on Pale's thrilling stories and fun games of make-believe. His partner, Rajani, admits that regardless of the nonsense he spouts, Pale is a very loving and caring individual. This kind and charitable side leads many in the clan to find his antics more tolerable, especially so when he's usually among the first to try to lift the spirits of downtrodden dragons.
Rajani has hopes of one day managing to successfully urge her mate to channel his creativity into writing a book. In truth, Pale took this suggestion to heart a long time ago and has been silently working on his first novel, hoping to surprise her with the finished copy. Only time will tell if this will result in a change to his habits.
