Avani must always wear her goggles for the safety of others. Since she hatched her eyes will sometimes release electrical charges at random, much like tiny lightning bolts. Though it seems she is immune to the electricity, likely since it is from her own body. The solution was found to be a pair of goggles which have been enchanted to contain the charges and seal them into small glass pebbles. She can then use them as small batteries in some of her inventions. Despite the protective goggles most dragons would avoid her for fear of what other oddity might surface or questioning if the googles will really always work. She didn't mind that they avoided her but a few other young dragons didn't believe in something as absurd as electric eyes could possibly be true and held her down to remove her googles. Sure enough the stress of being restrained triggered the charge and a couple of them were injured from the electricity. Lucky for them the injuries were mild and the worst of it was their hurt pride for being so foolish. Avani however, felt differently about the experience, she wasn't actually mad at them but was instead frustrated by the entire situation. She didn't want to be some sideshow that others would actively seek out or avoid. That was when she made the resolution to find a new clan to join. Being a rather independent dragon she set out on her own at a very young age so that she might find a place where her eyes would not be the most unusual thing around. Along her travels she met a clan who thought her lightning eyes were interesting but by no means the most bizarre attribute they had encountered. That was when she knew she had found the clan that was just the right fit for her. She can be a bit cocky and thinks her goggles make her look like the coolest dragon around. With her strong will she tends to clash with some of the other equally feisty dragons in the clan and sometimes overdoes it with some of the more soft spoken members from time to time. She usually thinks she's right, but if she's ever actually rude she tends to apologize shortly after and admit that she was out of line or that her statement was uncalled for. It's not surprising that she has found some close friends in the clan, and can usually be heard having very spirited debates with them. She found her way into being an inventor for the clan, inspired by her goggles she likes to create things that can help others and make their lives easier.
