Biography

BLOODBANE
“-Odd, uncomfortable gurgling-"
GEHyp0R.png
I raced along the burning ground, feeling the liquid in my system slowly draining into Oblivion. I was starving, and if I didn't get some blood into my belly right now, I was going to die a slow, very painful death. Based on what I had left in my stomach, I had less than an hour to eat and digest a dragon about half my size. I prayed that some creature around this area would have killed a dragon.
I continued running, searching, and sniffing the air...before I smelled the undeniable stench of a fresh kill. I slowed my pace and began to slowly search the area for the dragon corpse that would hopefully satisfy my hunger. Taking slow steps over the fiery vents I found myself near, I stepped over a hole and found the corpse.
He was probably a Pearlcatcher, and a big one at that. Claw marks covered his body and his flesh fell awkwardly from his bones. 'Perfect meal,’ I decided, rushing forward to feed. I ate quickly, picking the bones clean as quickly as I could to get as much blood as possible. I prayed to any diety that would listen that I could get enough blood from the remains. When I was finished, it was clear that luck was definitely on the side of cannibalism.
With new blood having filled my belly, I was able to regain my strength and continue on with my journey through the Wastes. I didn't even know where I was going, just where I was getting away from: the awful lightning dragons that turned me into a monster.
I, like most Bogsneaks, was brewed into existence. The difference? Most other Bogsneaks weren't born with a craving for dragon flesh. I hated what I had become, and clearly so did my makers. They still wanted to snuff me out like a candle and then cover my existence like a blemish on the perfect face of their lair. I hated everything about those jerks.
I heard a small noise, and I froze. Pebbles were being rolled and shifted about, which meant that something or someone was coming. And it was coming pretty fast. I quickly turned to hide when I ran straight into the source of the noise- a yellow colored mirror chasing a herd of dwarf fawn.
As the two of us hit the ground, I contemplated between running and making an attempt to kill or hurt him. Except he spoke, in a really creepy voice, “I’m sorry, but I didn't ever believe that I have seen anything like you before.” I was so scared. What if he figured out what I was, and where I came from, and decided to send me back? I tried to speak. Instead I made a pitiful and disgusting gurgling sound.
“Oh, you can't speak,” he observed, standing up. I stood as well, and he quickly took to examining me. “You're quite handsome for a cannibal. And yes, I did see your meal, and no, I am not afraid.” He continued staring at me, even moving closer to see the weird plastic sac that made up my belly.
So I snapped at him. The mirror jumped back, even chuckling slightly. “Quite angry as well. Add that to the fact that you're running from something, and I think you win the lottery,” he joked. Maybe. I looked away quickly, and he poked at my leg with his claw. “I have a Clan just north of here. If you come with me, we can dress and feed you, as well as keep you safe,” he explained. “But you must promise to keep yourself hidden from other Clans, okay?” It sounded amazing. I nodded, and he smiled. It was... really creepy.
“Good. We can go now,” he said, and we began to walk. “My name is Yawing, by the way.” I gurgled again, and he laughed. “I think Bloodbane is a good name for you, huh?” Bloodbane. I loved it.
