Rin

Rin was born in the Karyukai clan, but the wanderlust typical to the Wind dragons brought her here, in the lands of Shadow, where she met Riadorana and her little clan.

Rin also got a personal birdskull amulet after she joined the clan and became Illa’s pupil. She was also given a handful (pawful?) of dark petals and tasked by Illa to keep them in the air around her at all times with the Wind magic. As Wind is Rin’s native element, Illa didn’t see any trouble in her using her innate magic. A Water shaman herself, Illa would be teaching Rin mostly Water magic (though she is quite skilled in some other elements too). As it turns out, Rin has a great singing voice, so Illa is also looking into ways to implement that in their magic studies.

Rin is hardworking and diligent, but controlling two elements simultaneously is no easy task, so of course there will be times when she would bump into a wall and get frustrated. Nevertheless, she enjoys learning from Illa. She is also fond of Nigel, who is as doting as a father can be, and she likes to nap using him as a fluffy pillow. Riadorana (and later Riadore, too) prefers to be a solitary watchful guardian and doesn’t communicate much with the rest of the little clan, as she has her own mysterious agenda.

Sometimes, though, Rin would feel as if being watched… But this is a story for later.
In human form Rin probably keeps her pearl in the eye socket or in the beak of the skull on her amulet (let’s pretend that the pearl conveniently shrinks when Rin shapeshifts).
