Biography

Serenity is an extremely meditative dragon. He can usually be found at the Bamboo Falls, sitting in the lotus position, and breathing deeply. Sometimes, if he is feeling social, he will take the time to teach a dragon some breathing techniques, but he mostly keeps to himself.

He also happens to be the fastest dragon in the clan, though he doesn't like to show off. It's rare for him to fly at anything besides a lazy glide. But once, when a hatchling stumbled off the edge of a cliff platform, he launched himself down, down, and caught the child out of the air. He swooped back up just in time, the hairs on his tail slapping the ocean. Serenity dashed back up, at a clip yet unrivaled, and returned the hatchling to its parents.
This is the tale of how he first made himself known to the Sanctuary. There had not been reports of Zephyr Dancers in the Ascent, and everyone was surprised when he appeared.
Kite insisted upon making it up to him, and so he took asylum in their clan. He would be shunned from his home tribe, whom did not want association with outsiders, and would inevitably have exiled him for making any contact with them.

And so he has no regrets about leaving his old tribe behind, instead he stays in the present, he's proud of his new life in the Ascent.
He spends his time meditating, mostly. But he also enjoys agriculture, and is the clan's Secondary gardener, after Polli, specializing in the growing of bonsai trees. Serenity grows a lot of food for the clan as well, vegetables for Sherbet's kitchen, and special herbs for Kaya's poultices. His Familiar loves joining him in the garden, where they play hide-and-seek in the weeds, and chase chase dragonflies.
Though he may sometimes join his cat in the chasing of dragonflies, he never actually eats them. Serenity loves bugs of any type and though most Skydancers prefer insects over plants, he is vegetarian. This Zephyr Dancer is always putting out sugar water for the bees, and has a third of his garden dedicated to growing bee/butterfly friendly plants where the insects can get their nectar fix. He's always wanted to keep bee boxes, but is worried he can't properly harvest honey without cruelty to his beloved bees. You can always ask Serenity if you have insects you need to identify, you know who to ask!
