Biography

Job: Clan Founder/Former Clanleader

Treva never knew her parents. She was born from an abandoned egg on the border of the Wandering Contagion, left to fend for herself. Making her way further into plague territory, she came across a group of clan-less dragons, who helped raise her as their own, becoming her family despite her feeling that she didn't quite belong. They instilled within her a brutal sense of justice and a warrior's spirit. When they died at the hands of a Talonok patrol, she was left with no guidance but the plague touched goblin they had taken as a companion. She, therefore, retreated to her homeland, the Shattered Plains, where she made a name for herself as a thief, stealing from small clans. It was only once she met a fae named Copperflight that she realized her wrongdoings. He helped to soothe her harsh temperament and they bonded quickly as mates. It was then at last that Treva found a true sense of family. She started the clan Strongearth with her mate as her second-in-command, and they began taking in other dragons that needed a home like Treva once had. Treva taught her clan about righteousness and strived to give the members all a better life. She had been given a second chance, and she was determined to use it for good.

Unfortunately, Treva came across some strange forces while procuring gemstones with which to power a shield for her clan. With her mind twisted, she believes that the land of the clan is cursed to drive dragons to madness and war, and that she must appease the Earthshaker to spare her descendants. Treva now believes herself to be the embodiment of her clan, and will not be dissuaded from protected those within it...

---Mated to Copperflight

It has been 3 years since the founding of Clan Strongearth.
Treva looked from her nest over the clan with pride. Her children, warriors, merchants, and explorers...
It was time for someone new to lead them.
She let forth a mighty roar and the dragons assembled on the barren earth below her. Her child Fira flew to her side, with her mate Kyark watching from below. Treva's mate, Copperflight, was curled on her shoulder with her pet dove.
"Three years, this clan has stood strong." Treva let a smile show, "and I have been proud and honored to be your Clanleader. But there have been changes in our world. Elements have shifted. Ancient dragons have shown themselves-" she smiled at the two mated Gaolers who had made their way to the clan- "and our clan has grown in size beyond what I ever could have hoped for. It is time that we change as well. Thus, I am stepping down from my role as Clanleader of Strongearth, and giving the position to my daughter, Fira, who will lead alongside her mate, Kyark."
"Trey, love," Copperflight whispered in her ear, "they seem to be concerned about Kyark-"
"Oh, of course." Treva raised her voice again to address the concerns. "Kyark is a prince of several clans in the Fishspine reef, and thus Fira is a princess of those clans as well. However, those roles apply only to their position in the Fishspine reef. Leading Clan Strongearth, they will be Clanleader and Clan Co-leader." She swept her tail gently and motioned for Fira to approach. Copperflight flew into the air and lifted the crown of bones from her head, and Treva lowered her head to breath a stream of hot air over it. Miraculously, the bones began to shrink until the crown would fit upon a fae dragon.
She took it from Copperflight and placed it upon Fira's head. Copperflight removed the strand of bird-skulls from around his neck and strung it around Kyark's neck.
"Please, join me in giving a warm welcome, to Clanleader Fira, and Co-leader Kyark!"
The dragons below them all stomped, roared, and flapped their welcome, and the very earth below them shook. Treva wasn't worried about it collapsing though.
The earth was strong. And they too were stronger.

"Treva, we're worried about you." Copperflight was curled upon her head. She could see his newly purple wings in the top of her vision- he had used a scroll of magic recently to change his appearance. She couldn't complain.
Still, she had bigger concerns.
"The clan shouldn't be worried," she said, strapping another bone to her leg. "I am..." She pulled it tight with her teeth, "doing what the Earthshaker wills."
"Treva, love, I'm not sure he wills this, exactly. Who told you-"
"Hylas made it clear."
"That damned priest," Copperflight muttered, with more emotion than fae often used. "What's it all for?"
Treva shook her head gently to dislodge him, staring at him as he hovered in front of her.
"For our children, Copper. Our grandchildren. Their children. Do you remember back when so many of our hatchlings were taken by the Earthshaker for his battle? We raised Fira to take my position and that was based on a lie. She was not eldest, but our eldest were taken for the battle or consumed by a drive for it."
"Enfira is a strong warrior, you should be proud-"
"You kid yourself, Copper." Treva gave a deep sigh. "I love my children. All of them. But you need to understand. Look at this necklace. The skulls we give to our leaders, here. The crown Fira wears, that was once mine? Made of bone, as well?"
"I'm sensing a theme," Copperflight quipped.
"The earth is old, Copperflight. There is power within it, and that same power is in our bones. I was born on the border of Plague territory, these things are not new to me. For a while, the crown, the necklaces, these were enough to satisfy the Earthshaker, and whatever ancient affliction this land holds. But... Cyrus is powerful. Very powerful. I will not risk anything happening to him or his children."
"Will you tell that to the clan?"
Treva looked into the distance, out of the den and into the clear sky over Dragonhome.
"Tell them that I am- tell them nothing. They will satisfy their curiosity with whatever ideas they must."
