Biography

450 Gems

Crow has pure royal blood running through his veins. Before his mother settled for the lowly Icewave, Asteria was the mate of a king. The clan's previous leader was slain in the midst of a great war. However, they knew who could lead them ; Helios , the valiant warrior , had proven his worth in battle. He was not chosen solely based on his royal blood, after all.

King was a dreaded status to have. For the king did not run the clan as it may seem. It was the council that ruled for him , essentially. They planned his each and every move as king. Soon, the council chose him a mate from another noble clan. An arranged marriage, of sorts. Asteria was her name. At first, they hated one another. Completely and utterly hated each other. She resented him and the council for tearing her away from her clan.

But once she found he had not made the choice himself, things changed. She, too , was damned at the hand of leadership. It was a heavy burden to bear. She and Helios fell in love. They planned to break the bounds that is royalty. But they had to plan it very carefully. In the meantime, the pair happily welcomed several nests into the world. It was when they had the nest bearing Crow that they made the decision to run away. It was the only way that they could be free, despite all of the risks. And so they ran.

Crow and his two other siblings were the only that had not left the clan to pursue better things in other flights upon their coming of age. Helios and Asteria settled down in the depths of The Viridian Labyrinth ; a big change in scenery for Plague dragons. That is where Crow spent a good portion of his young life with his parents. The pair and their children lived with a small , homely Nature clan in a deep part of the Shrieking Wilds.

However, Helios and Asteria made it clear to their hatchlings that they were above all of the other dragons in the clan ; they were royalty. They should act as such. Often times, Crow and his siblings were not allowed to play with the other children of the clan. They were instead cooped up with their parents more often than not. It was a miserable life to live. Unfortunately ,this influenced who Crow would become He began to believe that his family was above their fellow clan mates due to their royal blood.

One day, their clan was raided. Several of their clan members dead. Their camp was in ruins. His mother was torn away from them by the members of the opposing ice clan. His father was defenseless, having already received near fatal wounds. Crow was terrified. So he ran. He did not find any of his family members for the longest time. They remained separated as each went into hiding. Crow remained alone to roam from flight to flight. He knew his search was pointless. Wherever his family went, they were out of reach to him now.

He roamed from flight to flight for the longest times. But he would never find happiness. Any clan he happened upon disgusted him ,as they were all 'savages' in his eyes. If he would not be treated as royalty, then they were not worth his time. As the years passed , he found himself happier among the Southern Icefields than anywhere else. Isolation. Away from the dragons he looked down upon. He would not be known out there , maybe , but at least he would not have to bother with the incompetence of other dragons any longer.

Yet the nights got cold ; colder than anything he had ever experienced before. He would not survive if he did not settle with a clan soon. His stubborn nature won over. Crow refused to accept help. He wanted to survive on his own. He could not beat the cold of infinite winter. Exhausted, his journey finally ended. He lay still in the snow and let the chill engulf him. Everything went dark. He hoped it was over. He hoped he had died. But once again , life was unforgiving.

Crow woke up to see his mother standing over him. Beside her was a strange dragon he had not seen before ; the male imperial had thick winter fur and light features. He quickly sat up, looking around at his surroundings. "Mother?" He asked quietly.

Asteria simply smiled. "It's okay, you're here now."She cooed.

He shook his head slightly, glancing towards the male near him once again. Before he could say anything, two hatchlings ran into the tent. "Mama mama, is he gonna be okay?"One of them chirped up at Asteria. "Yes darlings, he'll be just fine."She reassured them.

The feeling of dread crept up Crow's spine. Looking at them, it was clear that these hatchlings were of this lowly dragon his mother was involving herself with.

"How could you?"His tone was dark. He rose from the bed, glaring at his mother.

Her cheerful expression faltered. "What do you mean?"

"You TARNISHED the Kargis bloodline with this SAVAGE?"Crow's voice grew sharp and violent.

Icewave stepped in front of his mate and hatchlings protectively. "Calm down before you get yourself into trouble."He spoke calmly.

"Calm down?!Mother, you are going against everything you taught me. This dragon is NOT like us. He is but a lowly peasant."Crow spat. "We are ROYALTY. And you ruined our bloodline." He went for his mother's throat, but he hit the ground before he could even reach her. Icewave had him pinned to the floor by his throat in an instant. The hatchlings cowered with their mother in the corner.

Asteria protectively wrapped her arms around them. "I've learned since then. I've changed. The dragons here are my true family ; they taught me love and acceptance."She cried. "Get him out! Get him out of my sight, now!"

In an instant, his mother's guards charged into the tent and surrounded where their leader kept the stranger pinned to the ground. Crow was dragged from Icewave's grip and hoisted out of the tent. Their grip was so tight , he had no way of escaping.

"Do it!"He growled between clenched teeth. "Kill me!"

"No. We know mercy."A voice rang out before bringing a stone down on his head.

The next time he awoke, he was on the borders of the Southern Icefields ; far , far away from the clan he happened upon. Crow knew what he must do now ; destroy the impurities in the bloodline.
