The Second Guardian: Keeper of Prophecies and Forbidden Knowledge

______ The Elder Keeper of the Silvermire Archives is famously tight lipped about the nature of his past. Little is known about how he came to be the protector of the library after it’s creator disappeared or who he was before, but his skills in deciphering the prophecies are unmatched. Mysterious, cool-headed and rational, his logical and long-term approaches to solving problems often borders on cold to those unfamiliar with his uncanny ability to predict where disaster will next strike. As secretive and knowing as the archives themselves, the Master of its prophecies rarely leaves, and instead sends his followers to attend to matters outside of its walls

______ Despite his initial frigid greetings, every so often an occasion arises which captures a spark of passion in the imperial. A fledgling adventurer with a hidden potential who finds their way to his doorstep will find a home among the endless onyx halls of the archives, or a dragon in need of answers will find what they seek from his guidance. The most favored of his wards speak in hushed tones of that which he keeps hidden even from them: twisted monsters and strange dragons preserved in sharp jagged crystals, locked into eternal sleep in forbidden rooms. Hatchlings of his own making sent into the world to stop events foretold in the currents. Quiet, sad glances towards a cold, unfeeling moon.
