Biography
To anyone watching Jules for a day or two, it would appear that he does nothing. He sleeps late into the day, usually taking his first meal around noon, and usually spends what little morning he's awake for lazing around and hardly getting up. His afternoons are spent doing whatever he fancies, but he usually goes for long walks through the forest or spends his time at the spring, watching the sunlight reflecting on the water. He's surprisingly solitary for a skydancer, not because others dislike him but because he simply prefers watching other dragons to interacting with them. Late at night, there is often still a light shining from his den, and the routine continues.
Every once in a while though, Jules gets up on one of the large flat rocks and performs. He writes sonnets, ballads, and epic poems, and his delivery is just as good as the works themselves. He even writes the occasional play or novella, and he can usually be counted upon to have some type of new work for every festival. He coaches adults and hatchlings alike to perform in his plays, and although he can occasionally give somewhat harsh criticisms during rehearsals, he glows with pride during and after every performance.
Some have asked him to become a speech therapist for the coatls of the clan, so that they can better express themselves around other dragons, but Jules is far more interested in speech and articulation when it comes to performing his work. Thus far he only gives articulation guidance to those performing in his plays, although any coatls who do so find their draconic drastically improved.
***
Jules earned his armlet for one of his compositions, a sonnet written about Brer himself. It was a great hit, and he still gets asked to perform it, although he doesn't do so as often as many members of the clan would like. The sonnet is about Brer's skill in battle and respect as a leader, and although Brer always blushes and leaves right as Jules finishes any performance of it, he has a written copy pinned up in his den.
