An orphaned egg, Maidhil was brought up in the land of faeries. She saw the light and purpose in each being and each thought and moment. With no dragons to guide her, she left her home among the faeries and left to begin her life as a dragon.

She was the drake which founded the small but bright Prime Clan. Banded together with a Mirror, General, they had a clan settled in the Sundial Terrace. They gathered local Pearlcatchers and created a thriving group of intelligent drakes. Soon, they were an integral part in local and flight-wide community events around .

It was at this point at which Maidhil found herself in love. She found the warrior, rippling with muscle. The one that had been there all along and had been her balance and conscience.She had a new insight on the way that she had come to be where she was. Ever before had she felt dependent. With no family, she had become interdependent, but someone had reached her. She now knew she could rely on him, if only she wanted to. And now, she could do it at her pace, and know there was someone to catch her. General was there. Or so she thought.

What she felt now was terrible. It ate up her insides, clawing at her heart. It was left in tatters after the last blow. She had waited to long, hoped too much. He had moved on and was now cold and distant. He was immovable and silent. She had finally opened herself up and had lost it all in a gamble. She had turned her love, her friend into a monster. And he had left her alone. She had to adapt, again. She was now the sole voice of leadership in the clan and she had to care for the ever growing family that it was. She was so weak and perturbed that she felt no hope of survival, she couldn’t let these dragons down. But would her decision tear her down with them?
