 T H E P A S T
The meeting was unanticipated, a simple right place at the right time moment, or perhaps the wrong time? Lord was attempting to rob a beastclan town, he had noted that the Serthis that lived here were a calm group. They regularly did trade with the dragons on the coastline. Lord perceived them as easy prey, this was his chance, he had spent too many a night with a empty belly. He watched the tribe for a day and night, watching their movements and how they stored the goods they grew and traded. On the second day, he was ready to attack. He was careful, as soon as night had set in he made his move, his dark form enabled him to easily jump from shadow to shadow. The cold was setting in deeper, his hunger stronger, he was unclothed as he couldn't afford such a luxury. The snow began. It was betraying him, it was warning him? As he moved he payed no attention to the snowfall, if he was not quick he would loose his chance. He encroached upon a shed, he had observed the Serthis many a time go in with barrels of food. He approached quickly, hunger veiling his thoughts, dulling his senses. The snow was heavy now, his figure was stark against the contrasting white as he stood, frozen by greed in front of the building. He reached forward, a single claw touching the door when the snow shifted. A reverberating growl arose from the snow to the side of the shed. Lord recoiled, shrinking into himself, that was a dragons growl. He was suddenly aware of all the white that surrounded him, he was exposed, his dark form a flag in the sea of snow. The mass of snow began to tremble and rise, a dragon of a brilliant white arose from the heap. Lord was afraid, he had never been caught before, he was unsure of how to fight, he could only tremble in fear. "Why are you afraid." Lord had never had any other creature address him, he could barely speak but the seldom word he had picked up here and there. "You, are beautiful." He was taken aback by this dragons straightforwardness, he took a moment to analyze him, he was just about the same size as him, perhaps the same age as well, and yet he was so pristine. He branded a beautiful blade and lavish clothes. A dragon as stunning as this was calling him beautiful? "Why are you here? What business have you with the Serthis?" The white dragon was snapping out of his grogginess, "You are not one of my clan." Lord knew he could not fight this dragon, he was in no condition to fight, but perhaps, perchance if this dragon was kind, could be be sparred punishment? "Hunger." How to word this he thought. "I, hunger." The white dragon smiled. "I see, you are a straggler, but I have been shown mercy before, so to you I will lend a claw." He meandered over to the door and opened it, the space was small so he reached only his tail in and rolled out a barrel. "Take this, we must leave quickly." Lore was baffled, why was he? "Don't question it lets go, Ill make something up later." He turned to Lord and smiled. "I may get scolded, but for you, I don't think i'll mind." The fruit in the barrel, it was sweet.
