Personality
Cub is very expressive and tends to be blunt with how she views situations and people. She’s pretty friendly and has an adventurous spirit. If no one keeps a good eye on her, she’ll wander off and explore without a care in the world. She admires her father and does her best to make him proud. Additionally, Cub loves challenges and overcoming tasks that she’s not really great at - except cooking, she doesn’t like cooking. She’s a loyal pearlcatcher who doesn’t really understand the value of her pearl. She tends to prescribe to Axial’s practical point of view rather than Ultra’s beliefs in the spiritual sense. In other words, she can be a little bit of a materialist. Also, Cub sometimes has a short temper and can be quite belligerent. 
Early Years
She was hatched in the coastal branches of the clan Heatherhive and was placed for adoption by her mother, Tigre, alongside her twin sister. Urdrah, head of trade, heard about this adoption and passed on this knowledge to his friend, Axial, who he knew was looking to adopt. With good words and better persuasion, Axial adopted Cub for free. For a few years, she lived with just Axial and Ultra, traveling around the Tangled Woods, the Scarred Wasteland, and Dragonhome, until they kept running into another vagabond and his charge. Now, Cub can’t remember not having Inkytoes and her sister, Cybil, in her life. She’s traveled through several different regions, has seen shades in Hewn City, and has even been held captive with her family by a centaur clan in the Tangled Woods. Yet, despite these hardships and adventures, they’re clan has managed to survive and keep moving forward.
Triva
After finding out about Inkytoes’ past life as Valentine (pre-shade infection), their clan visits Geode (Valentine’s wife) so that the girls can spend time with their biological grandmother. During their first visit, as Geode was helping the girls make cookies, Cub decided to be belligerent and ignore Geode’s warnings by touching the very hot stove top. She burned her hand badly enough to leave a scar. This is her second scar, the first is a small cut on her cheek, which she got when she played with Axial’s knife left unintended and within the hatchling’s reach. She doesn’t really care about the mark left behind, but she does see this as another reason to find cooking underrated.
Triva
When they were in the Emberglow Hearth, their clan split up to gather food and rest. Axial and Ultra went to hunt while Inkytoes watched over the girls. As they waited, a strange form with a bright, enticing bulb, emerged from one of the lava pools. Thanks to Inkytoes’ strong will, he kept himself and the girls from going over and getting eaten by a ginormous lava monster. However, later, Cub ran away from Inkytoes to go searching for her dad and aunt in fear they would be eaten by this creature as well. Despite her best intentions, this just worried everyone. Luckily she was found by Axial very quickly and given a stern lecture about running off. You would think that she would learn.
Triva
She has been responsible for leaving scars on Inkytoes on numerous occasions. Cub has this tendency to climb on Inkytoes and, when she was very young, she would shift into her hatchling form to do it. This meant that her claws would dig into his flesh as she climbed up and then wrapped herself around his shoulders. Though the worst has been when she’s lost her grip and slipped down, slashing his skin open as she fell off. Despite being shade infected, Cub is drawn to Inkytoes and finds him incredibly entertaining and nice.
