M O O N S I N G

An apparition? A guiding spirit? Nobody knows who she truly is when they first encounter her. She seems to have a sixth sense; able to find those in trying times and appear out of nowhere. To some, she offers asylum and a home while others may only receive aid for their situation.

She's mostly known for taking in young dragonets and raising them as her own. Those are her longest guests or permanent residents. The few adults that find themselves under her care soon find themselves fighting for a mysterious god before being sent off for "enlightenment". Their training prepares them for that very moment, led on by Moonsing's gentle encouraging words.

Her longest guests, aka permanent figures of the clan, view her as a god-like being. Some of them, who take pity on the newcomers, try to get said newcomers to see their views. To take up this weird religion they have going on.

"It's the only way to salvation," they claim "Those who follow Moonsing are, in return, given security and safety in both the present and future." Though what Moonsing keeps them all safe from is unknown to the general populace.

Her most devoted followers say they know. That's their main arguing point, as they're unable to tell people who aren't true believers. If they tell someone who isn't a believer, then they'll become a believer only for the benefits, not for actually being a true follower. For those who irk her, who refuse to listen to her holy words, are sent to train for "enlightenment" to a higher being. "They were chosen by the almighty," she'd proclaim to the clan. "The gods ask for a tribute, and who are we to deny them?" No one listens to the cries from the poor dragon who was chosen for this most "wondrous" task. It all ends the same, anyways.

So they stay silent when travelers come into the clan, giving them wary glances and the occasional word of advice if they feel like it. Though their advice to vagabonds is more scarce as time passes. The followers focus on the children.
