Personality
  • He will not stand for an unfinished job. It is his priority to get his current task at hand finished before moving onto another one.
  • Although he may seem eccentric to the average dragon, in reality when he is not practising his craft he is actually rather timid.
  • Mercury is no stranger to a party. After finishing his work for the day, he can usually be found in the Cabal Common Room bantering amongst his associates.
  • Whilst he and his friend Meddows are mostly indifferent, Mercury argues that machines are not the future of Sornieth, and that if he wants a job doing, he does it himself.
History
Mercury was originally born in the Zephyr Steppes, but whilst he was still a hatchling he and his family moved to the Ashfall Waste. He then began to learn to use magic, and then left his family in order to learn metalworking from the best in the business, with a unique oppotunity to study the craft at the Great Furnace. Shortly after the conclusion of his studies, he was taken on board by the Nimonhorn Cabal, a well-respected clan within the Molten Scar locale, and even now Mercury is still learning: he is constantly coming up with ideas for enchanted and vanity weaponry. His magic is strong enough to be used in combat, but he prefers embedding his raw magic into the weapons he makes so that others can put it to use for him. In addition, he inserts valuable minerals into the blades of his vanity weapons, making them highly sought after. Even one of his standard swords is valued as the blade is forged and tempered using a bluing method, giving it a burnished look and feel.

  • His Augite companion is affectionately named Delilah. Some say that Mercury has even more of these golems somewhere...
  • If you boop his snoot, he won't forgive you.
  • Mercury originally wanted to be an artist, but then found that his true calling was metalworking.
