This firey Bogsneak holds the title of being the clan's first Bogsneak after the breed was introduced. It was during the Alchemy studies that took place after Baldwin was changed into the newest breed to grace Sornieth. Locket joinned in with the hundreds of other Master Alchemists that were trying to recreate the breed changing scrolls and Bogsneak eggs. After successfully creating a new Bogsneak egg, the albino Plague Fae chose to hatch it, in hopes of a new dragon joining the Aerie. From that egg hatched Varruna, in a bloom of fire. The crimson Bogsneak immediately took to life in the Wind Clan.

Locket raised her for the most part, while continuing his studies into Baldwin's new condition and the new species. It was learned early on that she has no promblem stating her opinion and picking fights when she feels it is needed. Like other Bogsneaks, Varruna excells at stealth. She honed her skills while sneaking around Locket's lab and getting up to general mischief as a hatchling. The red dragoness has managed to mother another Bogsneak into the clan, known as Vanisha.
