Title: Alpha

the Alpha in the clan. Solace is The polar opposite to Nightkaia. He loves to hang around the nesting grounds and the hatchlings, but Nightkaia does not approve of this because he might prove to be a bad influence on hatchlings. He seems to have no home, having been exiled from his old clan for reasons unspoken, and had been travelling the world until meeting Nightkaia and deciding that she would make the perfect mate. He helped create Howling Dragon and has created a deep bond between them. He likes to show off a lot when Nightkaia is watching. He's adopted Dusk as a son of sorts because he’s begun to have a soft spot for the kid. He's taken kindly to Theodosia, but bickers a lot with her for some reason. Blackrose thinks that it's just because they both like to run their mouths. Solace shares Nightkaia's pain and loss for her single wayward son, though it is from a dragon of the same name from long ago, but as with all Laeers, the call is accepted with honor for the clan and for the called dragon. Though the hatchling was not his, his love for his mate gives him pride for Nightkaia’s son. He does once in awhile ask about her former mate, but she chooses not to talk about him. It is said that he was a surviving mirror from her old clan who was killed in the early days of Howling Dragon.

Solace originally hails from the Icewarden's realm, in the Fortress of ends. His former clan was the very same clan who killed Nightkaia’s former clan. So how did they end up as mates? Well, Nightkaia inexplicably found herself in the Gladekeeper’s realm, and she had no idea how. Well, He was a part of the attack, and when he saw the brutal killing, he tried to save dragons, but never managed to save anyone other than Nightkaia. He stayed with her for most of her trek through the flightlands, but inexplicably disappeared a they made it to the ashfall waste. Years later, he returned to find a very small clan, and a grieving Nightkaia. He comforted her, and together they helped the clan grow, becoming mates in the process. When asked, he will say that he did miss his former life in some ways. He lived in comfort back in Beast Soul, and he did not really have to do much himself. However, He never really knew the cruel ways of the clan until the attack on White Rose. He had a need to protect her, so he took the young mirror as his charge. Many would question him having a charge at such a young age, but he felt responsible for the pain that she went through. He will never go back to White Rose, and if it comes down to it, He will fight by her side to his death against his former clan.

Dormius
Named after Solace's younger brother, Dormius seems to be the exact opposite of Solace. While Solace is rowdy and loud, Dormius is very quiet and docile, But you cannot take him lightly. If you do decide to get on his bad side, he will plot the best way to attack you when you least expect it. Dormius also happens to be a very loyal beast. Dormius is one of the most regal familiars in the clan, and is very respected by all the beasts because of it. He regularly leaves the camp to forage with Solace.
