Yaz

Yaz is not one for settling.

Or maybe she just hasn't found a place to fit. She left her birth clan for a new one; she could not keep still and study the way they wanted her to. Her new clan, perched as it was in the Reedlciff Ascent, was better for her roving nature. But somehow it didn't seem right either. Yaz got along with the other dragons - she always seemed to get along with other dragons - but she couldn't shake the feeling that she should be somewhere else. When word came that some nearby clans were looking for an emissary, someone to go back and forth between them, Yaz jumped at the chance. 'You'll be good at it,' the other dragons told her, 'you're very diplomatic.'

As she neared the Saurus clan, eager to start her new role but unsure what to expect, Yaz encountered a wildclaw male on the path. He seemed tired. 'Hello there! I'm Yaz. I'm on my way to the lair of the Saurus clan. Are you going that way?' The other dragon nodded, looking glum. Yaz continued, 'Oh, lovely! It's my first day, I'm to be an ambassador between this clan and another. Lots of traveling, but I prefer that. How about you? Are you new as well?' He shook his head. 'No. I was born here,' he lowered his voice so she had to strain to catch the last word, 'unfortunately'. Then he shook himself and gave her a weak smile. 'Sorry, I've been away for a while and I'm afraid my manners are out of practice. I'm Casimir. I've been out gathering plant specimens and exploring.'

By the time they reached the lair, Yaz was well on her way to arranging her first diplomatic engagement. A four-egg nest, to be precise. Apparently she really is good at the whole emissary thing.
