Biography

This little fleshy-horned kitten drake has been having nightmares whenever he slept, so his mother told his father go out to find some calming plants to use. Now he may be the potion keeper and spell caster of the primary scouting team, but he doesn't know anything about plants; it seems his magic skills are the only reason Rio even keeps him around....
So, in his confusion of what to look for, he started to collect a bunch of samples for possible NON-POISONOUS plants to ID; after a while, he was foraging in the when he stumbled upon an injured Baku. Now, he has a tendancy to become sympathetic towards the feelings of many Beasts, so he decided to bring it home until it was healed.
"What is that thing?!" Kits' mother was not pleased with having a mysterious wild beast in their clan's lair, especially with a new clutch of hatchlings. She was worried about those threatening tusks ans dangerous claws. The father tried to explain what happened, but she contorted, "I will not allow that wild beast in here without a REAL purpose for--"
Overhearing this complaint, Rio Gold couodn't help but interrupt. "I am sorry for the interruption, but I do beleive this Guy had a good reason to bring it here..."
"It's a SHE," the father corrected. "How do you even...?" the mother grumbled, vexedly.
Rio continued, peering at them as if they were constantly squabling children. "I remember the species this critter belongs to, let's see...." She brought out her Beastiary Encyclopedia, and showed them the page; "...a Baku. They have a gentler tendancy compared to their cousins, the dreameaters, but they still have mysterious powers. It says they can travel through both the physical and etherial plane or spirit world.' I see no reason to worry about this injured creature; if it didn't give the Guy any trouble while bringing her here."
Well, the Den Mother said, so Dart had no choice. Thenext day, however, she had left the hatchlings unattended to get some food from the storage pile. When she returned, Kit wasn't in the their bed with his other snoozing siblings! Panicked by his absense, she shifted her raptor-like head all around, desperate to spot her camouflaged chick.
A few seconds later, she stopped her wanderings as a wave of horror spread over her dark face: her little sleep deprived kitten was stumbling in a haze right next to the Beast!! The father wished to keep it close to his bed, so that his familiar could sooth the creature and alert him if anything was wrong; and naturally, he moved his bed near his new chicks to guard them while their mother was away!
Paralyzed by the thought of startling the creature, Dart could only watch as her offspring flopped right next to the Baku's clawed paws. But she was even more shocked at what unfolded next: looking quite unsure as to what to do with the fuzzball that landed on her fingers, the Baku poked and sniffed Kit with her flexible trunk. Clearly the chick was already asleep, as he began to stir once more in the way most younglings would do with a bad dream.
Well, this didn't seem to please the Baku at all, but rather than moving away from him, she reached her claws into an empty space, disappearing for a while, and brought out a little ball of turqouise smoke; she just pulled out a wisp!
Seemingly satisfied with her catch, she tucked it underneath the chick's wing and pulled him a bit closer to her chest. After a little while, he finally stopped shifting! Slowly calming down from her initial fears, the mother went back to her other hatchlings, as her mate had come back and immediately rushed over to check on his stray kitten.
Funny, he thought, he's so still I almost thought he was dead. Glad to see his chick practically radiating calm for the first time, he let the two of them be, settling into his own bed.
