Killian

Blot takes the payment and asks that Killian remain silent and still while he conducts his reading. He stares into the campfire in the distance, and his eyes begin to lose their focus. His eyelids droop, and he becomes so still, he looks as if he has fallen asleep with his eyes open. Finally, he speaks.

"I see a battle, but this fight unveils itself in more than one way. A war between wills created this situation. I see another wildclaw. He is a strong fighter. He is very angry about something. There has long been a dispute between him and a healer within the clan, a fae. Their clan leader sends them both into the mire to fight alongside one another and work out their differences. Their leader also bids them to take you and train you, hoping that your presence will keep the situation stable. It does not.

"The vision changes, and I see the three of you training in the mire. One of the healer's spells reflects; it bounces back and almost injures the fighter. After the last enemy is defeated, the wildclaw accuses the fae of doing it on purpose. The two begin to fight, and you don't know what to do. At a crucial moment, you come to the fae's defense, and you are struck down with grievous injuries.

"I see things from the perspective of the fae now. They feel responsible. They are angry at the wildclaw for his rash actions, even more so when he demands that they leave you there. The wildclaw wins the argument, however. He is too strong to fight against, and he would lie about the matter to the clan leader if the fae let him go back alone. The healer would not leave you for dead though. When the wildclaw turns to leave, they cast a quiet healing magic over you, protecting you, in hopes that you would find a better future, without conflict or strife."

Killian is seated before the fire while his mate FaeRose anxiously leans against him, willing him all her strength as he listens to the words Blot speaks into the night. With every word spoken Killian falls farther and farther into the past, at first hearing the words, then seeing a story as though watching a play, then finally reliving moments lived a lifetime ago.
By the time Blot's voice trails off, tears have gathered and roll down Killian's face.

"I remember everything now. Everything. Flix. The fae''s name was Flix and he was my friend."

FaeRose presents Blot with a small parcel. "it's just a few sweets from our clan, but we can't thank you enough."

As Killian rises to leave he Bows his head to Blot.

"You've given me back my past and I can't begin to thank you. If you ever are in need, the Clan of the Great Family are at your disposal. Thank you."

And with those words the two wildclaws disappear into the dark, headed for home.
