Dysmas is a stern and quiet individual who came upon Vaizel in her travels as a younger dragon. He admired her spirit and was pleased that she didn't seem to mind sitting with him and admiring the quiet of the world. Though originally of the Ice Flight, Dysmas has always tried to find ways to discover how all dragons are truly connected to the core of the world. With justification that the winds tend to bring the cold with them, he was able to convince his lair that he was needed elsewhere, joining Vaizel's new lair in the steppes.

Dysmas spends much of his time studying the area and keeping things running smoothly. While Vaizel may be the heart of the lair, Dysmas is the brains. He keeps everyone healthy and the lair itself well divided as far as space. His patience with Cynfal is often short, but the gratitude Dysmas receives for seeing to the mirror's medical needs are often enough to assuage him.

Dysmas has taken a title for himself, 'The Sunrise' due to his coloration. It's also not a bad representation of his personality: light and full of hope for a new day, yet cold.
