Biography

GXCUmqq.png FIRE
Fire - a red-and-orange she-coatl - wandered aimlessly into the forger’s den. She’d heard a lot about this place. It was known for producing some of the best, most worked on things the entire Clan owned. Fire was quite young, but she always enjoyed watching the dragon who owned it put a silvery, metal mask over their face and work with molten metals. She crept in, curiously tilting her head up as she glanced around the shop. It was well-lit, with little lightbulbs dotted around the floor and ceiling. There was a little sign that had some prices on it, written in calligraphy-like black ink, and she looked up and thought she saw a dragon. Nervously, she scampered out, her tail waving like a flag behind her red-and-orange body. Her little wings bounced as she left.

Ever since that day, she continually visited the forger. It was almost like some sort of feeling was pulling her there. Good thing she liked it, the heat pulsing around her and the sparks flying beside her. Flames reflected in her amber eyes, as she watched each day.

One day, she grew old enough to handle the welding items. The old, cranky dragon who ran the shop was kind to her, snapping at anyone who came in when they were together. He never told her his name, but she didn’t really mind. Perhaps he wanted some privacy and just didn’t prefer to tell his name. Clutching the dark object, she lowered the mask over her face. It felt strange, as if it had been worn by hundreds of other dragons before her. And now she was wearing it! And holding the welding object! She rolled it around in her paws for a bit, and then stopped after the dragon looked down at her, his eyes glittering. She could almost taste the metal in her mouth, the scent of heat strong.

He had instructed her how to make some plain metal sheets, and how to form them into certain objects. They’d made a cool-looking copper accent, and she played with it in her hands, her amber eyes wide in astonishment. She’d made this! With help, no less, but still. Once she was old enough to finally actually help, she hung around the shop quite often, occasionally assisting in some simple projects, like sheets of silver and sometimes even gold. It sparked happiness inside her whenever she heard the familiar sccrt! in the shop, the sparking flames reflected in her large, amber eyes.

Then, one day, the owner of the shop had gotten very, very sick. She knew he was old, and his time was probably coming up, but he seemed to be in such pain as he coughed violently. He often hobbled away, coughing up a storm, leaving Fire to finish the project he’d stopped working on.

And then one day, he just didn’t come to the shop in the morning.

She hadn’t really expected it to be that day. He had been finishing up a small, copper-and-silver bird for Fire to keep. He’d scrounged up the materials from deep inside the shop and finally had started it a week ago. He’d told her to stay away, to not come in. She’d obeyed him, pacing at the entrance as she listened to the metals clash together, and the echoing cough that he couldn’t seem to get rid of. After she had heard the news, Fire had flown as quick as the wind to get to the shop. He hadn’t allowed her to look inside, in fear that she would see the present. She had known about it, but he begged her to stay outside and not come in, for he wanted it to be a surprise of how it looked. As she entered, she spotted a small, golden-and-silver bird sitting on a small, dark, wooden table. A small, scrawled note lay next to it.

Dashing over, she picked up the bird. It was still warm, and she read the note, her eyes widening.

I told you it was of copper and silver, but you deserve more than that if you are to success me. Check the back of the bird.

Thank you for caring for my shop, Fire, I know your flame will light it up well.

Instantly, she turned the bird around and saw a small, golden button. Pressing it, the bird’s tail feathers quickly opened, revealing a small hatch inside of the bird. A small gasp escaped her, and she placed the note inside.

From that day on, she kept the bird in a small pocket. She took over the shop, and although it was quite small, it was well-known. She was proud of her works, and her strength grew as some paused and watched her work. One of which was Inari. She was such a kind, soft soul for her. She was brute, hacking away at metals all day… As she passed by she found she began to have feelings for her. But she shoved them away, pressing them deep in a corner of herself…

She also began to notice a flirty tundra, named Ebru. She knew he was known for his flirtatiousness but she couldn’t help but think he was being serious when he flirted with her. He always dropped his head low, inclining it to her politely, sometimes checking out her outfit. But he’d always just pass, off to flirt with another. She sighed dreamily after he left, knowing she’d never get to him. But it didn’t matter to her, her amber eyes glittering with the flames of love, yet her heart protested.

She had always thought of expanding her shop, since it was quite small. But she was more of the slow-and-steady type when it came to that sort of thing. The looming thought of it expanding was always in her mind, pricking at the back and reminding her she should probably expand soon before it was forced upon her.

The majority of the designs in her small shop were shoved in a small corner, on a small piece of parchment. However, sometimes she collaborated with Kalfu, who was a good designer when it came to weapons. He was an expert at it. They’d both created Faramir’s sword and Nann’s bow after they’d chosen to be the leaders of the Clan. The two had been very thankful for their weapons, and both Kalfu and Fire had decided that they worked well together on weapons.

That brings us to current date.

Fire is ready to spread her fiery, flaming forgery all around.
