Theere she wandered, battered, bloodied, bruised. Her gasps coming in uneven heaves. The emperor towered over her, its three heads, two light and one arcane in the middle, slabs of rock and earth levitating in mid air with frightening energy. Blinding light shone in all directions. Amaranth stared at the behemoth of twisted energy.

A scarred wasteland laid in the wake of her hopeless battle with the emperor. "Cease!" She pleaded, driving her claws into the ground and frigid energy broke out of the ground, forming a huge ice wall between her and the beast. She ran for her life.

She took off with her battered wings, loosing lift mutiple times before becoming airborne.

It was all in vain. A huge beam of concentrated light laser melted the ice wall, huge boulders hurling towards her. Amaranth tried to swivel around the rocks but one hurled under her, knocking the breath out of her lungs.

The coatl was falling. "Catch her!" A huge Guardian caught her and another dragon shot forwards, a skydancer this time. Confused and blinded with pain, Amaranth let out a wail. A reassuring rumble came from her savior and she was nuzzled. "Shh, we got this." Magic energy exploded and shook the ground.

Amaranth looked at the emperor. Her vision went black.
