Malyan

If there was a ranking of the top ten bravest dragons in the lair, Malyan, would be in that listing. It's not because she is a ferocious warrior, she isn't much one for getting into fights. It's not because she is always out trekking through unknown territories, but she won't pass up an opportunity like that. She is the only sword swallower in Afirewiel's entertainment troupe. She is one of the bravest because she eagerly pushes her limits on her skill of sword swallowing...despite the major issue of harm to her internal organs.

Malyan is an energetic dragon, and she always has a smile on her face. She loves spending time with her fellow troupe members outside of performing and practice, so that they can strengthen their bonds. She doesn't have much of a personal boundary, Malyan is completely open to surprise hugs and smaller members, like Marinelli, draping themselves over her body. Malyan finds it amusing when crowds are watching her and she can pick out a few dragons who look like they will hurl as the sword descends down her throat.

The Imperial wasn't always a sword swallower though. She was at first a dancer when she joined Afirewiel's troupe. The Skydancer sensed that Malyan had potential, not just from her outgoing, welcoming attitude, but also that she was never afraid to take steps toward improving her self as a performer. Afirewiel had no idea that the dancer would become a sword swallower. There was a stranger passing through the clan, an elderly Fae, who stayed with the clan for some time. The clan is always open to guests and treats them very well...as long as the guest holds no ill motives. This Fae was once a sword swallower in his younger days as a performer and his stories quickly captured Malyan's attention. The Fae asked if Malyan would like to learn and of course, she couldn't refuse! Sword swallowing seemed to be Malyan's hidden talent as she quickly took to it. After a few more weeks of training, the Fae had to say his goodbyes, but promised that he would be back to watch Malyan properly performed. She, without thinking, told him that when he returned that she would be able to swallow ten swords. This statement about gave Afirewiel a heart attack, but the Fae was pleased to hear about Malyan's commitment.
