Aphelion was born to a clan of the Light dragons and grew up beside the Hewn City. Where some dragons might shy away from these dreary and dangerous ruins, Aphelion found herself ever more interested. What lay within? What mysteries had been lost to even the studious light flight? When she came of age the wildclaw decided that she would venture deeper into the Hewn City than any dragon before and make her name as an explorer and scholar of renown. Thus, Aphelion ventured into the broken city.

She's never spoken of what she saw or experienced there, but she returned a changed dragon. Far from illuminating these mysteries, she began to keep her information close to her chest, sharing it only sparingly and often cryptically.

Her sources are not shade-touched creatures, beastclan memers, nor even other dragons... well, at least, her sources are none of these that still live. What Aphelion learned about herself on her journey was that she could, to a limited extent, call up and speak with the spirits of the departed. She takes this on as a solemn task, considering these spirits her trusted confidants and best allies.
