DESCRIPTION GOES HERE (WIP) Mate: Asia Isole's herd moved to the Southern Icefield when he was a hatchling. He had to admit, the snowy terrain was a wonderful change compared to the heat of the Viridian Labyrinth, and it was awesome to finally grow out a winter coat! But, while his parents were content with staying in their homeland, he still wanted to explore the world. His herd eventually settled close to the western, ice-cliffed coast at the edge of the continent, and it was there that Isole first saw the dragon-and-longneck run seaport. The harbor that his family had arrived to the Southern Icefield was large, and ran only by dragon kind.
Familiar(s):
Longneck Vigilante: Named Dumuzid [they/them] [Dumuzid is not a familiar, just a good friend. I placed them on this list to talk about them.]Dumuzid was the first one on the Warden Snakehead to truly befriend Isole. The longneck could sense how awkward and nervous the newbie felt, so they decided to take him under their wing, figuratively, of course. Dumuzid’s main job on the ship is to fight marens when there’s an attack. Sure, tundras are strong, but longnecks are quicker and more precise because of their size and anatomy. Of course, Dumuzid pulls their weight in other ways; they take stock, cook, and clean, when needed. Dumuzid is a bit of a show-off. They like to be flashy when they train, garnering praise from the crew and Niltsi, who is also learning how to fight. Though, they’re ego can be easily bruised, if they make a simple mistake and others playfully tease them, Dumuzid will take it to heart, and try harder next time to show that they are a capable individual, and not just some amateur. Tradewinds Gull: Named Hermes [he/him] Tradewing and Murkbottom Gulls are common familiars for seaworthy dragons – mainly because they’re easily accessible. The species often trail boats in hopes of easy pickings, whether by stealing, or by handout. Isole was entranced by the friendliness of the gulls, and their silly antics, and the amazing way they could switch from swimming to flying so effortlessly. It was no challenge to befriend a tradewing gull, to the point that Isole could have him respond to his name, Hermes. Hermes keeps close to the ship at all times, even when anchored at the harbor, either that, or he’s perched on Isole, hunkered down in the tundra’s fluff. Admittedly, the gull has pulled hair out of his tamer to build a nest on the WS. It also contains shiny trinkets stolen from other tundras and longnecks, but unless you’re Isole, no one can get close to it without getting divebombed…or pooped on. Windcarve Fugitive: Named Niltsi [he/him] Niltsi is a well-educated, well-spoken, and well-mannered ex-prince harpy from the Shifting Expanse. Niltsi was the son of a powerful family in his flock. Though, the fact that he was even born a male made him special in his own right. Ever the rarity, Niltsi was waited on wing and talon, every whim granted. But, he always felt lonely. Niltsi never had friends, just attentive servants. He was an only child, and his family’s status widened the gap between him and his community. His parents were always strict with keeping up appearances, while making sure that their young son understood that they expected many things from him in the future. The burdens Niltsi was expected to shoulder weighed down on him from the beginning, and every year the anxieties grew as he drew closer to his coming of age. The same year that the flock’s prince was to take his rightful place, he disappeared… The first to meet Niltsi was Dumuzid. They found the harpy hiding in an alleyway at the harbor. He was dirty and ruffled, and looked as if he was going to collapse any moment. The longneck managed to sneak him onto the ship, and nursed him back to health with Isole’s help. Niltsi decided to stay on the WS to “repay his debt”, but eventually came to love Isole and Dumuzid, his found family, and would never leave them for anything.

1) Isole's favorite food is giant kelp! It's sweet and salty and crunchy!2) The Warden Snakehead exports giant blocks of ice, and ice crystals. While carving ice is his job, Isole really likes ice crystals, and is envious of the ones who get to go collect them. Unfortunately he doesn't have the finesse to dig them up. 3) In his free time, Isole likes to help on fishing boats. He likes to see the amazing sea life they pull up. He has to keep a close eye on Hermes, though. |
