Dream Witch
Reality is wrong. Dreams are for real.
Yesterday is but today's memory, and tomorrow is today's dream.
That which does not kill us makes us stronger.
I always wished for this, but it's almost turning into more of a nightmare than a dream.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there, wondering, fearing, doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before.

The shadows never tried to hold Bianca. She traveled with a certain ease that came from years, a seasoned warrior herself. She pushed past a thicket of trees, almost hissing when something snagged at her shall. Bianca didn’t have the time to stop and repair clothing. As she glanced back, she didn’t see where her steps were landing, nearly falling as she stepped on something that was warm and definitely shouldn’t have been there on the forest floor. Bianca stumbled, catching her footing before she glanced down. It was another dragon, one who looked so different from herself. His colors were warmer, and he was fast asleep. Not far away, Bianca could see the edge of the Sunbeam Ruins, where the dragon had obviously come from. Around him on the forest floor, there were supplies for potions scattered around him. He looked like he had been in the middle of something when he fell asleep. Bianca’s snout crinkled as she eyed the scene suspiciously. Something happened here, something terrible. Bianca crouched low to the ground, gently pushing the dragon on the ground. He didn’t move, only furthering the unpleasant feeling in her stomach. She growled lowly, examining him further. As she got closer, she hissed, realization dawning on her. Clutched in the dragon’s hand was a small container, which still held black droplets of the Black Sleep. Biana instinctively took a step back before she steeled herself. No one else was around, no one who would help this poor dragon. Bianca sighed before moving forward, kicking away the empty container and watching it disappear into the dark woods. She waited a moment, if only to make sure that it wouldn’t try to return, before she crouched close to the other dragon. “Don’t worry.” Her voice was a whisper, barely a coo. The last thing she wanted to do was be loud enough to attract predators. “I’ll help you.” Slipping into his dream was like slipping under a warm blanket. Every dragon’s dream felt different, some were as cold as ice and others made her feel like she was drowning. Yet this dragon’s dreams, it was nice, even if it was only darkness that greeted her. Black Sleep was a terrifying thing to be a part of, she almost hated having to save dragons from it. Black Sleep was suffocating, it pressed down on her shoulders and joints, trying to push her down. If she wasn’t careful, she would succumb to the sleep just as many dragons before her had. Bianca hoped it hadn’t been too long, the longer a dragon was asleep, the harder it was to wake them. Slowly, her claws started puncturing layers of darkness, peeling one layer back just to reveal another one right underneath it. The ebony darkness stuck to her claws, making it harder every time to peel back another layer. The deeper she got, the more worry rose in her chest. A screech, rattling her very being to the core, shook her as she peeled back another layer. She barely had time to react before something dove at her, knocking her to the side. She could hardly see the mass of black pushing against her, screaming in her ears, nonsense to frighten her. Leave. You have no business here! Witch! Bianca pushed, pressing against whatever was moving in hopes of ending the screaming so she could get back to her task. It took a moment before her moved her claws and squeezed, feeling something give against her force and hot liquid spilling out. The darkness faded, just enough for her to make out the shape of her body. Bianca tossed the creature aside, going back to peeling away layers of darkness, finally finding the light on the inside. Exhausted, she made her way into the light, basking in the warmth it gave. “Who are you?” A voice asked, one she didn’t recognize. Bianca blinked sluggishly, her strength slowly returning. She would need to rest for a couple hours after this adventure. “No one important. Who are you?”She returned. Looking up, it was the same dragon who had been asleep on the ground. His face pinched in confusion, frowning down at her like she was the source of his problems. “I don’t remember.” He finally admitted. “What’s going on?” Bianca huffed and let her head rest on the ground. Memory loss was typical while the dragon was still dreaming, but that didn't make it any less annoying. She stared up at the imperial , who stared back at her just as intensely. “I'll explain everything as soon as you wake up.” It had the desired effect. Most dragons woke up once they realized they were sleeping, the dreams literally crumpling around them. It was no different this time, the dream world shaking violently before it disintegrated, and they were slowly waking up in the real world. Bianca moved quickly, bottling the rest of the Black Sleep before it could escape and ensnare another dragon. By the time she had bottled it carefully away, the other Skydancer was awake, staring at her with bright yellow eyes. “Thank you.” He murmured. Cautiously, he rose, picking up supplies that he had dropped. “I'm not normally so careless.” Bianca nodded. She had no doubts, the Shade could be tricky at times, whispering just what you wanted to hear to get what it wanted. She carefully tucked away the Black Sleep, and didn't speak. She had no idea what to say “My name’s Horus.” The imperial offered. “Are you traveling far from here? I could take you to my clan, it's not far. Get you some real rest for a night.” Bianca shrugged at the traveling question. She had never had a destination in mind, and if Sornieth weren't already mapped out, she would be the one to do it. Yet the offer of a place to sleep without harm was tantalizing. Bianca rubbed her paws together in anticipation. “Lead the way then.” ________________________________________ |

Protector
You have to dream before your dreams can come true.
The fairytale has turned into a nightmare.
My family is my strength and my weakness.
The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.
The common bees will never use their sting upon the queen; if she is to be disposed of, they starve her to death, and the queen herself will sting nothing but royalty, nothing but a rival queen.

Never give up on what you really want to do. The person with big dreams is more powerful than the one with all the facts.
I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past.

Her old clan quickly rejected her when they found out what her specialty was, not wanting to be associated with someone who could be so dangerous. Bianca quickly moved on without them, finding her own true purpose in helping other dragons out. She roamed, happily, for years. It allowed her to explore all over Sorienth, hearing some rumors whisper past her ears about her powers. Bianca always moved on after those rumors were started, never giving them room to flourish. She’s never been one for showing off. She couldn’t exactly say how long it was before she found her mate, Horus. He didn’t care that she had children elsewhere, or that she was so powerful, and Bianca found herself falling harder and harder for him each and every day. She was happy in the clan, in her new home, and still answers the call of people in need, but her main focus remains towards her clan and her mate. Nowadays, her priorities are spent weaving dreams for the new hatchlings, and helping Horus while learning new alchemy tricks. ________________________________________ |
