His bracelet is made by his late mother, who soon followed his father into the war.
Although Inertia is young, he has a parental instinct, having taken care of many of the clans younger residents as hatchlings on top of his already busy job. Although many flew off to join the war or joined the Ambassador Guild, they send him letters. The young-but-mighty Smoke affectionately calls him "Pa," much to his delight.

Mistral Minion contains the spirit of Watermelon, one of his many adopted children, who had died in a freak crash during a storm. The combined powers of Aalok and The Prophet brought her restless spirit back to a physical form. She's as mischevious as ever, but more cautious, as if her physical shell were to break, she would die. Often found helping around the Archives with Inertia, or fluttering around with Beanie, her spirit is thankful for the second chance.
