Battleworn and tough, Ares was a knight-guard from a distant Light clan. He decided to journey once he sustained an injury to his right eye that prevented him from doing his job effectively, and found himself in the plateau. He had fallen sick from travelling through the scared wastelands, and was discovered in a fever by Dart, who had heard word of a group of dragons who had set up a clan nearby. She guided Iridescent to him to help heal him, before wandering back off on her own. He awoke in the care of the clan, under the watchful eye of Iridescent, who had also managed to stabilise his eye to a point where it could heal some. After not very much convincing from Primus, Iridescent, and the council, he stayed.

He got employed as a night-guard after his eye healed up to a point where he could mostly see out of it, and trained younger dragons in how to fight for both survival, defence, and competition. He enjoys writing, and is in the process of collaborating with his now mate, Iridescent, in authoring a book.
