B I O G R A P H Y

______ Nature has strange ways of settling into people's life. She was just a simple leaf from a tall and proud oak until coming into the clutches of a local witch who was trying to successfully obtain a familiar. The sensations of growing a body is not a familiar thing to a little plant but soon she was slowly opening her newly obtained eyes. The feeling of legs, a body, a pair of delicate wings, and short stubs of horns was not comfortable. Claws were scratched on the floorboards, trying to desperately clutch on any solid ground on what may have happened. Eyes of yellow popped out, looking wildly around soaking in the sites of everything. All of this was new. Her sights settled on a creature across from her. The size of the creature was much bigger than her and she coiled desperately around her body for safety. This wasn't her usual form, where was her tree? Desperate looks were cast around the room she was in before freezing to the sound of words being heard. The creature was shouting and though in a new body, couldn't understand the strange sounds coming from the thing.

______ It was later on decided for her life that the creature who somehow transformed her was now her caretaker. She spent most of her life trying to learn the strange words, "dragons" spoke with and learned on making use of her wings. Her still small stubs called horns however had to be taken care of with another dragon. After a year of settling in her weird but now comforting life/home, the witch had given her the privilege of a name besides "leaf". Karya was her name and she held it dearly near her heart. Caretaker turned into mother and Karya slowly but surely easily went to the new routines of her new life. Life was good for about 12 years of so, that is until her mother disappeared. She couldn't have predicted the injured dragon that looked like her would cause a break into her routine of a life. But here she was left alone in a house that felt empty.
