NightWarrior was in her cave finding peace by herself, her mother had left for another clan meeting of some sort and her father and her twin brother were in the water clan which was too far away to visit. She sighed and laid down thinking about what had happened earlier that day. "Hey!" said a voice at the doorway. NightWarrior got up and turned toward the doorway to see SeaSwirl and NightSlasher. "What are you all doing here?" asked NightWarrior. "This was SeaSwirl's idea, ask her," said NightSlasher, who seemed a bit annoyed and bothered. "Thought you might like to train with us at the Lightning Academy! The others are already there," said SeaSwirl, excited. "Sure, won't SunBurst regent this?" asked NightWarrior. "Ya but she's coming," said SeaSwirl. "Then what are we waiting for, let's go!" cheered NightWarrior. The three flew off to the academy. NightWarrior felt a bit relieved that she finally had something to do other than lay around all day which her mother won't have been fond of, she would probably tell her to make a good use of herself. "What!?! We have to train! I hate training, this was a horrible idea! I'll get you back for this SeaSwirl!!" shouted SunBurst as she stomped over. "Calm down, look I promised BlazeStorm you'd come since he dared me, everyone knows how much you hate training so. . . so, so we thought it would be. . . um. . . funny?" said SeaSwirl a bit scared now. "Funny? FUNNY? FFFUUUNNNYYY?" yelled SunBurst, now furious. "It's just training, what's so bad anyway?" asked WInterGlade. "Fine. But I will get you back SeaSwirl, just you wait," said SunBurst. They all started to "train" but most of it was playing around and fighting, so overall it was pretty fun especially watching SunBurst making a big fuss and commotion about everything. NightWarrior flew home as she walked into the cave she dragged her tired wings behind her. She looked for the right spot to lay down, her arms and legs were sore and her body couldn't stop aching. A loud thud was heard in the entrance of the cave. NightWarrior shuddered in fright at the sound of her mother's footsteps. She has always wanted to impress her mother who fought in many battles and was respected by every dragon in the clan but she was scared because she hadn't been training properly. Regret began to fill her head as another day was wasted away. ________________________________________ |

NightWarrior flew to the Council building. She had been instructed to go there for the first time. Feeling nervous, she paced around the front and fiddled with her claws. Her wings arched back as she tried to keep low. Just anything to make herself disappear. But she finally gathered up enough confidence and walked in. It was completely silent as dragons rushed around in an orderly fashion. NightWarrior felt a soft tap on her shoulder and quickly turned around. A blue Coatl with gentle emerald eyes looked down at her. "My name is Aceso, I am the healer and a council member," Aceso continued, "I will be taking you on your first mission today!" she smiled. NightWarrior couldn't help but smile back. They walked out through the clan gates and into the training grounds. This had been where NightWarrior started training but now after all her practice, she was ready to move on to real missions. They arrived at the Woodlands. The grass was like a soft cushion under her claws and the breeze rubbed past her skin as the sunshine peeking from the trees glowed onto her face. The Woodlands was truly an amazing view. Aceso took a breathe and said, "I remember my first mission, it was magical and exciting!" She glanced over at NightWarrior who was just lost in awe. "Well, we've got to get going to meet up with your friends! Afterall you're going to be fighting with them!" said Aceso as she pranced off. "W-Wait for me!" NightWarrior said as she chased after Aceso into the lovely Woodlands. First rules were established. Aceso gave a long speech about it as NightSlasher, SunBurst, WinterGlide, SeaSwirl, Earthquake, BlazingStorm and NightWarrior waited and listened with boredom. Aceso let out a quick sigh, lifted her claw as a go sign and the dragons raced off, "I can't wait to beat the first dragon!" SunBurst exclaimed. "Not a chance! You wouldn't even get your claws dirty for the sake of the world." WinterGlade snapped. SunBurst growled with anger and added, "I'll see about that when I defeat over a hundred creatures." SunBurst flew off for a head start with WinterGlade following from behind. BlazingStorm and Earthquake teamed up, NightSlasher went solo and SeaSwirl and NightWarrior teamed up. The dragons all flew off and battled for the rest of the day till they wore our their magic and their bodies ached. ________________________________________ |
