Coalglow does not work metal like other dragons of the Fire Flight. She instead works with glass, bonding white-hot molten sand and minerals into function and form. Glass is used extensively in clan Mechanimus not only for items such as vacuum tubes in complicated machinery, but jars, mirrors, and art are only some of the near infinite uses for this material. Glass windows are only allowed when they're colored due to the smaller members of the clan accidentally crashing into the clear ones, and must be covered when a storm rolls in. Glass is mainly made up of sand, and Coalglow's favorite places to gather it are in the Sea of a Thousand Currents with its golden sand, the Shifting Expanse's white sand, and her own home's black sand of the Ashfall Wastes.
