Biography
Live your life to the fullest.
Dante
The silent boyfriend of the polyamorous relationship. His voice is deep and powerful. He often helps others by talking them out of very dangerous situations. Since he deals with suicidal dragons so much, his own emotions are very strained. He checks up on War constantly because that hot-headed boy gets into trouble so much. His favorite books are the "[insert thing here] For Dummies" ones. He also seems to be the one that curses the most. He smells like fresh laundry.
---//---
Dante never considered himself the most emotionally intelligent of dragons.
Still, with great care, he was able to navigate the twisting labyrinth of feelings his three lovers wove around him.
It helped to have one to feel especially close to. Fredrick—thin, pale and skeletal as he was—was nonetheless closest to Dante’s ideal lover. Dante had never met another dragon so compassionate and loving. Even Parker’s understanding paled next to Fredrick’s.
But, as Dante watched the other two arguing quietly beside the dying campfire, he realized he couldn’t live without any of them. There was a reason the four of them had lasted through the centuries. And it seemed stupid that a few years of wandering, a couple seasons of chilliness, would put an end to that and drive them their separate ways…
His heart throbbed dully.
Parker’s eyes flicked to his. “Well? What are you waiting for?”
“Hmmmm?” It always hurt Dante’s throat to make a noise—hence why he rarely spoke.
“Bring Skinny-Shanks and yourself over here.” Winston clacked his jaws. “We’ve got to huddle.”
“Oh no,” Dante said sarcastically. “Huddling. My worst nightmare.”
That made both of the cheerful ones laugh. Tenderly, gently, Dante moved Fredrick to the others. Their four bodies entwined in the snow, moving softly against one another.
Winston and Parker, lulled by the warmth, were soon asleep. Winston snored loudly.
But Dante’s eyes remained fixed on the blue-green lake of stars glimmering overhead, waiting for the first pale strokes of dawn. And sometimes he glanced at Fredrick’s pale face, and admired how the snow-light danced along his bony features.

When the Lamb broke the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, “Come.” I looked, and behold, an ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name Death; and Hades was following with him. Authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Death – or Dante – well, whatever he’s called, he gives me the creeps! Reminds me of something that crawled right out of the depths of the Shade. Oh, I’m sure he’s a wonderful dragon once you get to know him, but I do not have any reason to, at all. I haven’t heard him speak before, but perhaps that is a good thing… ~ Dandelion Bio and Poem by CAWncave |
The one who lurks in darkness The one who leads you to the light And keeps company with a carcass But who leads him from the night? _______________________________________________ Who dares to save the eastern light, That looks like western gloom, Who bothers to lead the one who leads Others from their own doom? |
