When Cadell speaks, the clan listens.
Cadell was born with an innate wanting for knowledge. As a hatchling, Cadell listened intently to her teachers and spent her free time scanning the records of lore. She questioned and craved more until her teacher's own knowledge had been spent. The world called to Cadell before she even reached adulthood, and her ever-searching mind pulled her from home. The skies, the seas, the plains; they all held things to be explored, learned of, and recorded. Cadell spent several decades exploring the vast lands alone. She would stop occasionally in populated lands, and the young and eager came to know her name. Despite travelling alone, Cadell was sociable by nature, and she would spin wonderful tales of her adventures to those willing to listen. One stop, within the clan of New Velucia, Cadell found that she was a sought-after mate, and settled down for several years. She began writing memoirs of her adventures, and only when her first book was finished did she leave once more.
Although she tends to stray far from home for long periods, Cadell sends gifts from her travels, and occasionally returns to check on her kin. The clan benefits greatly from her vast store of wisdom, and the leader Xulyndirial will often seek her advise in matters of state.
