Biography

hen Venaris was found by the Timeless, she was wandering aimlessly at the border, disoriented and weak from likely days and days of travel. The Timeless brought her in, and upon medical inspection, realized that she suffered from extensive memory lost. Meera, one of the clan elders, cared for her and helped her put her fragmented mind back together. After weeks of hard work and healing, Venaris regained her strength. Her mind revealed more snippets of her past life, but unfortunately they are far and between, and the process caused unbearable pain to her. She did not want to disappoint Meera and the rest of the Clan, however, for they have done much to help her and she owed them her life. She also feared the unknown and what it might bring, and so redoubled her efforts to remember.

The pain, though.

The Pain.

It was during one of these memory restoration sessions that Moisa, the Timeless Matriach, found Venaris at her corner of the clan territory. Greeting Venaris with a gentle nuzzle on her snout, and asking for a moment of privacy from Meera, Moisa spoke directly into Venaris' mind-

Look around you. We are, all of us, lost at some point. Many of us were cast from their original homes, eventually finding their way here. Some had left. Some had stayed. Some of us have odd pasts that they do not speak about. It matters not. The Timeless does not discriminate. We welcome all.
It is your decision, not ours, to leave or to stay. Perhaps you will regain your past, perhaps not: regardless, you, we welcome. And whatever your decision may be, and wherever your journey may take you, we shall stand with you, by your side.

Venaris had blinked, knowing this had to have been the truth for it was spoken using the language of the mind. Before she could regain her bearings properly after a mind touch, Moisa had turned and walked off. Venaris watched as the Matriach's dark form slowly got smaller against the lightning flashes of the Shifting Expanse, her words lingering in Venaris' head.

The past may come

But until then

Perhaps

It is time to make new memories.
