Wandakain

Wandakain came from a large Fire clan. Her Search led her to the Clan of the Silver Pine, where she met Ginseng and found her Charge, who had an important task for her that he could not perform himself, being a Tundra-born dragon and incredibly forgetful, even though he is now a Wildclaw.

Within the lair, she lives on a high sheltered ledge, out of reach of the hatchlings. There, she is surrounded by stone tablets etched with information, dusty old tomes filled with myths and tales, and piles of parchment covered in hastily scrawled notes. Here and there are puddles of wax melted to the floor, the remnants of the candles she uses as she works, as well as a dozen half-burned candles of varying widths. One has lines scratched into it, and when it burns from one line to the next an hour has passed.

At Ginseng's request she has dutifully kept a record of the names of every dragon exalted from the clan. As Ginseng tends to forget faces and names after a couple of seasons, remembering only whether a dragon smells like a friend or an enemy, it is hard for him to recall family members called to be exalted. Wandakain has gladly kept a list of names to be recited at clan gatherings for those who cannot remember themselves.
