The traditional name Arcturus derives from Ancient Greek and means "Guardian of the Bear". This is a reference to its being the brightest star in the constellation of Boötes.

Arcturus is one of the most powerful Magus in the Piscium Clan. His intellect and will to learn and study have excelled his abilities to harness the powers within both the earth and the sky. While starting out his earlier life as a Wandering Mage, Arcturus has found companionship and knowledge through his journey from the reaches of within The Viridian Labyrinth to the desert of The Shifting Expanse, Arcturus has gained wisdom and severe powers in magicks. While first acquainting himself with the delightful water mage, Kalden, connections were made and Arcturus' attention grew interested in the Piscium Clan in which he decided to study for a period of time, planning to move on once his studies were finished. Karaliene and Karalius, Guardians of the Mega Crystal; Piscium's power source had become his teachers and so Arcturus was taught heavily in the subjects of mana and Arcane magicks. His spirit as a magus grew strong as the magicks accepted his presence and allowed him to harness the abilities within life forces and not just elemental forces.
▬▬▬▬ Mega Crystal Corruption Arc ▬▬▬▬
With the Mega Crystal's corruption, Karaliene had become corrupted as well, quickly losing energy and her own life to this sickness. Discovering the cure to the Mega Crystal, Arcturus began casting the purification spell, well knowing that the cost was not only mana but a life itself, his life. Karaliene, greatly opposed to his sacrificed took it upon herself to cast the spell and inevitably replacing the Mega Crystal's old life force with her own, purifying it and saving the Piscium Clan. Karalius, in order to prevent a future corruption of the Crystal, also cast a powerful protection spell, giving his life to create an impenetrable barrier from corruption and collapse.After the great collapse of the Mega Crystal and its purification, Arcturus took it upon himself the great responsibility in becoming the next Guardian of the Mana Crystal Cavern. With the help of Despina, Karaliene's previous apprentice; Arcturus works with her to protect the Crystal heavily and keep the balance of magicks and mana within the Clan. Arcturus continues to learn past secrets and magicks left behind from its previous Guardians, Karaliene and her mate Karalius.
▬▬▬▬ The Void Arc ▬▬▬▬
While the powerful Mega Crystal's magicks shine bright within their universe, it is also able to pierce through different realities and after showing a major weakness to the Shade magicks, was almost destroyed again by a Void Creature. Unknowing of this type of reality, magicks, or creatures - conveniently a Magus of the Void named Alioth had showed up to mend the apparent tear within realities. It was then when a Void Creature ripped its way through realities and attempted to gain access of the Mega Crystal. Unknowing what to do, Arcturus was basically useless in battle against the creature, even with Despina and Alioth's strong magicks alongside his. It was only when the Deity Hezom herself showed up to aid them in containment of the powerful creature, which had been barely successful. With new enlightenment of a new source of magicks, Alioth offered to teach Arcturus and Despina his knowledge in The Void, and they accepted eagerly, becoming his understudies in Void magick. |
