Fawnsdapple was one of the first wave of Bogsneaks- a wholly artificial dragon, in a sense (although she paid little notice of it). This, along with her unusually overbearing demeanor and slightly-offbeat sense of style, made her a bit of a social outcast in her birth clan.

But ultimately? It didn't matter. In fact, it may have been more of a blessing than a curse. On a visit to another clan, she'd stopped at an inn along the Sea's Southwest coast. It just so happened that another dragon, a Pearlcatcher named Cornelia, was staying at the same nook. They'd been assigned right next to each other, letting Fawnsdapple hear her future friend practice singing all night. Unlike her usual performances, this was soft, gentle, and a little bit sad; as the sun started to rise, Fawnsdapple opened her window and sang along, trying desperately to harmonize.
