clan lamprey ; a clan on the edge of the hewn city which occasionally sends its members into prisma's haunting grounds to poke around in the ruins. prisma wants to become its leader. somehow.

Prisma is not a proper dragon, though they would love it if others believed they were. They are in truth a unique kind of spectre; a distorted reflection of someone whose magic is so powerful and monstrous it occasionally leaves afterimages in its wake. Prisma is pure chaotic energy that just so happens to have form and personality because they echo the dragon that created them. They are nothing but a sad copy of someone much stronger and more charismatic than they could ever be, and they resent that. They resent it deeply.

Prisma came into being as a turmoil of raw power and vague memories and impressions, and when they finally gained enough awareness to realize what they were, their creator was long gone. Rather than seeking him out, they began to wander aimlessly across Sornieth, with the half-formed idea of making their own impression on the world driving them onward. As most mages in the Starfall Isles and neighboring lands were immediately capable of recognizing Prisma as some kind of arcane horror, this was easier said than done. Repeated attempts to destroy or banish them finally drove them across the continent towards regions more ignorant of their nature, and finally to the Hewn City, where there reside plentiful lesser spirits to feed on. They remain here still, accosting any living dragons they encounter in the hope of gaining some useful connections.

As a ghostly echo of a legendary conqueror, Prisma is enamored by the idea of power and influence. They have no idea how one goes about obtaining such things, or what they would do once they had them, but they are unshakably certain they deserve them. The fact that dragons do not immediately revere them upon meeting is a source of endless confusion for Prisma. Though they have grown better at hiding their true nature from dragons, their understanding of draconic nature is still weak, and their unwillingness to admit mistakes makes the learning process much slower.
