There aren't a lot of dragons who can boast a skill at alchemy and skill on the battlefield, but Strychnine can. He really can! The fact that he's been bitten by a cobra (there's all these weird growths now) and can't seem to get anything good out of the cauldron...that's, uh, inconsequential, that's what that is!


In all honesty, Strychnine might have the worst luck of any bogsneak to ever hatch, ever. He hatched in a lootsack while someone was flying from the trading post back to their lair (he still snickers about how they must've been so surprised to get back home and find only pieces of his shell), and with his wings still wet, he tumbled from the sky into the wilds of Sornieth, one little lost bogsneak in one very, very big world.


Left to fend for himself, Strychnine quickly developed at least some fighting skill; after all, he had no choice, if he was going to survive in Sornieth. He struggled his way to the Trading Post and took refuge in a stand of trees not too far from the cauldrons he himself was brewed in.

For the start of his life, Strychnine spent much of his time, watching other dragons work with Baldwin, creating new things and using the massive cauldrons the old Bogsneak had to their advantage. The first time he dared to try and use the cauldron himself, he managed to spill green goo all over himself; and while it burned and sizzled, he didn't give up! No matter how little he improved at his alchemical skills, he still persevered, taking notes in the Tome that he carried with him everywhere and occasionally trading the goos and oozes he brewed for food and occasional shelter.


Of course, not many dragons in Sornieth are built for the solitary life, and Strychnine is not one of the few that is. After several interactions with members from the CLAN NAME clan, he eventually requested to join them, and now he spends many happy days trying to figure out how to put things together without them blowing up in his face!
