It's just a legend, the genies of the Spiral Keep. They are a story told by those exalted to the Tidelord, whispers about a strange breed, one able to grant wishes. It is said that they roam the darkest corridors of the Spiral Keep, few in numbers, and small in size. Some would call them pigmy Snappers, for they resemble just that, but there's far more to them than it seems. Their bodies burst with magic, runes lightning up their bodies, seeping out, magic so strong it can even grant wishes. Covered by small iridescent scales, legend says they were crafted from the mother of pearl of the Spiral Keep itself. Their eyes are said to be as blue as the sea itself, and their compassion just as deep; Meeting one of these kind beings would be a blessing, and all your dreams would come true. Pearl knows the truth though, not all legends are fake, and not all fairy tales are happy. She was cast out at birth. She was not born in the Water domain like most of her kind, instead in the rough seas between the Southern Ice fields and the Starfall Isles, The large fluctuations of magic from the two lands while she was in the egg changed her, twisted her form. Instead of smooth skin and lithe runes along her body she was born with large crystalline shards covering her hide, and piercing white eyes. Her body seeped out uncontrollable amounts of magic, and a frigid atmosphere surrounded her. She was an abomination. Her parents swiftly cast her out, threw her in the sea and let her fend for herself. They would not care for a child that could spell their demise. And so Pearl was alone. She wondered the seas, lost and confused, protected by her spikes and her magic. Lore by Neverland feeel free to change/delete anything :) |
