Biography
Wight is a strange dragon. No one- including Wight himself- really knows where he came from other than somewhere among the glowing mushrooms and dark foreboding pines of Shadowbinder’s territory. What is known is that now he isn’t exactly… alive. Just as the name his current clan gave him suggests, the bogsneak is a wight; an undead creature controlled by another. Who his creator is however is unknown, though some suspect it to be his mate, Tea. When asked, Wight merely gives a grumble response, as if he knows but is on orders to never tell.
The coincidences of his appearance soon after her arrival wasn’t something that flew over the heads of his clanmates. Of course, when questioned upon his initial arrival Wight was unable to speak more than the basic; ‘I’m an ally’ and ‘I mean no harm to the clan’. Things were rocky at first considering the nature of a wight is to leech off the spirits of the living but Wight himself soon began to tame this side and tried to focus on smaller creatures and enemies. Once again, the clan couldn’t help but notice how Tea was quick to offer help and suggestions to the newly brought back dragon.
Still, in the end it didn’t seem to matter who controlled Wight. The young looking bogsneak was fierce in battle and an excellent tracker with his abilities to sense souls around him, which he eventually managed to use to identify dragons in the clan versus unknown dragons or creatures who didn’t belong. A few times there were slip ups and a hatchling or two would go missing after he hid the evidence but as he ‘aged’ he slowly began to stop having slip ups all together… Of course that doesn’t mean the clan doesn’t make sure he doesn’t get deprived of his special diet.
When dragons try talking to Wight most of the time he answers in a word or short sentence. However, if asked about his past as a living dragon or about how he died he will grow silent as if trying to remember the answer that no longer exists. Because of the limited conversation one can have with him most dragons just leave him to his own business. While Wight isn’t the kind of being most clans would want hanging around, especially when it meant a necromancer was nearby as well; his clan loves him and whomever his master may be. All the pair have done has been for the good and protection of the clan after all, which has given Wight a second chance at a good life despite being different from his clanmates.
