Akira was the second Bogsneak found as an egg by the Clan. Due to his breed, he is unable to fly. That doesn't bother him. However, he is bothered somewhat that he has a limp. It's not a painful limp, but it can make trying to run difficult to almost impossible.

On top of that, he has to try harder than most to master his magic. Despite this, he enlisted under Spira because a limp and difficulty learning magic were not going to stop him. He was determined to succeed in spite of those issues and he wasn't going to let his bullies (Lehine, Amorra and a few others) stop him from this.

Spira took a different approach to training him. She not only had him get runes tattooed on his body (curiosity of Joxepa, who knew exactly what to do) to better allow him to channel his magic, but also had a staff created to also further help and augment his magic. Said staff could also help him walk and alleviate some of his limping.

The runes on his body are chilling to the touch due to those areas being where pure Ice magic is released. With that and his training, he became better able to defend himself against his bullies to the point that they rarely mess with him. He won't ever be able to run, but he's become content with his situation.

Akira became an excellent addition to the Magic and Diplomacy Clan Branch, but wanted to be more helpful in the field in regards to healing others. While he does know several diplomatic techniques, he prefers to be partnered with those not of the Clan Protection and War Ethics Branch. Akira isn't confident in his abilities as a diplomat at this time.

However, he did adopt a stray cat and named her Jinx. The two go everywhere together, which is yet another reason for him to not see the field of battle.

Akira enjoys the harvest time of year when there's colorful falling leaves, the air is cool to the point of even being chilly and a bit of snow isn't out of the question. Plus he also really likes the feasting that occurs.

When he first met Rika, he didn't really care too much for her. However, it would seem that they would end up running into each other again and again to the point where they started to chat a bit. Eventually, the conversation would be more than just basic things, turning to things that they both liked, related to and so on. It was Rika decided to ask him out a couple of times before the two deciding to take it further and become mates.

Sometimes Rika will see if he wants to know what it's like to glide and will use her abilities to help him. She's always careful about it, especially when landing as to not agitate his limp by accidently landing him wrong and causing him some pain.

His devotion to his Ice magic led to him being blessed by a messenger from the Icewarden. Akira's wings now change color much like the auroras seen in the Southern Icefield.
