KODIAK--the--WANDERING-ARTIST
🌲 MELLOW 🌲 CURIOUS 🌲 GENTLE 🌲 When he was a hatchling, Kodiak's family moved around a lot. As soon as he began to call one place home, his whole family would pick up and move to an entirely different region. They never settled for long and Kodiak never had a chance to make real friends. He was a shy kid with a bright mind and his parents encouraged him to find something that made him happy and pursue it, so Kodiak did. Early on, he was fascinated by all the marvelous colors and shapes of the world. Each flower, each animal, each dragon was an individual, each entirely unique. For his birthday one year, his parents gifted him with a box of colored pencils. Kodiak was so excited, he spent the entire day drawing random things he found. He drew his mother's potted plants, a portrait of his dad sleeping on the couch, a doodle of the family cat... He drew so much, that after only a few days, his brand new pencils were worn down to nubs. His parents had never seen their usually withdrawn son so passionate about something, so they happily took him to the market to buy more art supplies. They loved seeing their baby so happy. Kodiak kept drawing all throughout his life and his skills got better and better. He kept a visual journal of all the different plants and animals that lived in the new areas his family moved to. When he was old enough to move out, he decided he'd keep traveling. He didn't want to settle in one place, he liked seeing new things too much! So, Kodiak became a wanderer. He traveled the globe, drawing and painting masterpieces, and trading them for a few days of food and shelter at the towns he'd come across. It was a lonely life, but a life Kodiak loved. He never got too lonely, though. He loved to go home from time to time and visit his parents, who both loved to hear his wild tales of new lands. He always brought them his newest painting and his mother, incredibly proud of her son, hung it on the wall. One day, Kodiak hopes to find someone to share his journeys with. The open road gets lonely, but not if you have a friend to travel it with. He always wondered what it'd be like to have a friend... |
