When you think of a water egg you think the sea of a thousand currents. You think of Fishspine Reef, or the Leviathan Trenches. The last place one would expect to find a water egg would be the marshy, soggy carpet of the Mire but this is where such an egg was found. The team had been wading through the muck for hours, testing their skills against the fearsome creatures of the Mire when they stumbled upon a lone Kelpie laying on a bed of moss and mud. Laying against her abdomen, tucked under her leg was the egg in question.
Adara didn't hesitate to take both in and care for them, the egg never separated from the horse creature. Adara normally left lone eggs to her nursery keepers, but the Kelpie grew enraged if they tried to take the egg. So it was left with her in the stables, under the watchful eye of the clan's beast master until it hatched.
The little Fae that rolled out of the broken shell was colored in a beautiful display of the swampy lands she'd been found in. And she was attached to her Kelpie savior at the hip, following the horse around or stowing away for free rides upon her back. That bond only grew with age, as did Alice's love of the place she'd come to know as a second home. She spent days wondering the Mire, collecting plants and exploring.
When she wasn't off exploring with her companion, she could be found perched on the shoulder of the Clan's alchemist, Aemon. She developed a fascination for alchemy, in particular, poison making and botany. As time passed she found a disability in her size, being rivaled in size my most moths and butterflies left much to be desired. She could hardly hold her glass beakers when mixing and going out to gather ingredients became a dangerous affair. So she sought out the Clan scroll maker and was transformed in to a Pearlcatcher. Though no longer able to catch free rides on her Kelpie companion, she enjoys being able to tend to her responsibilities as the Clan botanist with ease.
