Huichol’s sensitive eyes caught the evening light. The tiny Bogsneak looked around, seeing their slowly dimming shell to the wayside, and a bright bevy of small tropical birds and vibrant plants, shaded by the huge leaved trees towering high above them. Their small and stubby legs extended below them and they stood up. They plodded down the worn path, leaves browned and pounded into the ground. Contuing down the path, eyes hardly opened, the young Bogsneak was all alone, save for the trees. Suddenly, the trees opened up onto a round arrangement of squat houses. A squat female dragon came out of the nearest one, and said some indecipherable yet familiar words. They headed towards her.

Huichol was a tiny hatchling, but grew rapidly, more rapid than the Snapper matron had ever seen. Huichol seemed normal, if not a little odd. She knew things a youngling couldn't possibly know. She had spoken her first week in the village, and reached the size of an average yearling not even a month's time later. Huichol was just as confused. They had intermittent flashes of a past life, in a bygone era. The world was still torn by elemental wars and modern dragons were only just being formed. Sleep did not come easy to the seemingly young Bogsneak. It brought only memories of being crushed below the ground, caught by moving earth.

And so the reincarnation of this ancient set out to find the truth. They followed any whiff of a clue, leaving behind the comfort of the village only a year after being hatched. The Bogsneak walked the whole of Sorneith, attempting to find out what had happened to them and what the centuries had done to their once and current home. They eventually settled, near an anomaly, thought to be formed even before the Second Age. The Lands of the Mistspinner felt old, ancient, and the mysterious lands surrounding the caldera provided nooks and crannies for the hermit-like dragon to occupy.
